Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is recalling approximately 34,334 of its 2014 to 2019 Jeep® Grand Cherokee (WK2) models equipped with the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 due to the risk of engine fires. According to the recall, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold causing a fire.

Continuing delays in getting this recall performed by local dealer. Claims of lack of parts availability are getting a little monotonous. Same excuse for several months now - ever since recall was announced back in December 2020. NHTSA will be informed of this continuing delay to a safety related (potential for vehicle fire) recall.

Don't feel so bad, my close friends daughter just got a call for her air bag replacement for her Charger she has been waiting for over a year and a half. COVID-19 has delayed everything
