I talked to two of my friends that just bought a new f-250 and the other a f-350 and they both used to be ram owners and when I asked why the one with the f-250 said that the new gas and 10 speed is what made him switch along with the fact
Ram is still using the old 2009 chassis and the back seats still are a split design. The one that got the f-350 went with the diesel because again the Rams are 2009 chassis with a split seat and the new 6.7HO powerstroke puts out 500hp and 1200 ft-lb
of torque with a ten speed while Ram is way back at 400hp, 1025ft-lb with a 6 speed and he said it looks like no updates soon (i.e in a year) and there was nothing I could say.
My question is other than the rumor that Ram and Cummins are working on a Hydrogen engine but that's not until 2027 from what I heard so is Ram going to sit on there butts with the HD trucks while the competition runs circles around them?
I am a Ram fan myself but even I have to admit that right now Ford is on top of the truck game (I have said it before it doesn't help Ram with the 2500 and 3500 having a 370hp 850ft-lb with a bad shifting in house 6 speed, talk about WAY behind the times).
