As we know, the Scat Pack Challenger’s OM recommends Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-40. The issue I'm having is that Pennzoil indicates that this weight is sold at all automotive parts retailers and Walmart. I checked all parts stores in my area and no one has this weight. Walmart had a shelf tag, but has yet to have it on the shelf. Only one retailer, a local O'Reilly's finally told me they could order it, but a case was expensive! Pennzoil told me to call their distributor in our area, so I called and she had no clue! After a long discussion, she finally said she could order it from Atlanta, GA, but it would take about 3-4 weeks and it was also expensive... Seriously? I live in North Carolina, so it shouldn't take that long if I had decided to drop that dime. Pennzoil even offered a rebate on the 5 quart container of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-40 and Amazon didn't even have it – neither did anyone else! I’m unsure what Pennzoil is trying to do with the availability of this weight oil. I’ve been ordering it from Amazon as that’s the best price I can get so far. I had rather not change the brand as it's been doing well for my car. I know ordering it has several advantages including the availability and convenience of the 5 quart container. For anyone using this brand and weight, are you having the same availability issues? Thanks for your input!

I’m having the same issue.
For my 15K oil change, I had to go with Mobil-1 of the same weight.

Right now, NAPA has the quart bottles of the PUP 0W-40 for $6.09 per bottle. You might have to order it though. They've never had it on the shelf around here.

Ebay has a 6.4 oil change “kit” with a filter and 7 quarts penzoil 0-40, with the srt logo on the box. $80 though.

Not so bad, though the same thing from Amazon is about $71.00 w/ free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. However, if Amazon changed anything, this wouldn't be a bad deal given the prices elsewhere.

However. Valvoline has come out with Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic 0W-40 that meets the Chrysler MS-16233 specs for 392 Hemi.

FWIW, ordered an art oil change pack on amazon. 7 qts art branded penzoil 0-40 and a filter $79.96. Came out to $86.96 total. Ordered on the 18th, arrived on the 23rd.
I went this route after stopping at two stores with no spots on the shelf for it. At that point I wasted enough time to warrant an extra few bucks for a guarantee. Showing 17% life left, so it’s near time anyway

In the Buffalo ny area, $87.24.
labor. 21.00
parts. 62.90
total. 83.90
less insurance. 4.00
sales tax. 7.34

please pay. 87.24

yes, they had the right oil and mopar brand filter, so yes, I saved 28 cents doing it myself. Definitely worth the several hours worth of shopping around. And the wait. And all the work involved. At least I got an amateur job out of it

Just in case you can’t find Pennzoil, Amsoil also meets MS12633 specs
