I ordered a 21 Scat Pack Wide Body on 06/15/21. As of today (07/26/21) its sitting in the rail yard awaiting transport to the dealer 20 miles away from it. It's been there since last Thursday so I'll see how long it takes to go that last 20 miles.

Yep, but it was damaged in shipping so will be delayed for deliver now.
I heard it through a body shop that most of the C8Corvettes they are repairing are getting damaged in transit because shippers are not aware on how to ship them. They are not positioning the cars correctly. Like Corvettes in the past there are special instructions on jacking up the Corvette.

Dealer said about 60% of the new vehicles they receive have damage from transport. I took delivery of it damaged today. It will be going into the body shop on Thursday. Looks like a front bumper cover and a rear valance will be needed along with paint and labor. Got an extra $1000 off the deal and free paint protection for my trouble.

The dealership did cover all of the costs of the bodyshop repair?

How did the work turn out?
As I was very suspicious of, once they did the tear down they found the damage to be more severe. Ended up with a new from and rear bumper cover and associated hardware. We have had it back a little over a week now and are enjoying the car. The WB drives very different from our 19 Scat Pack.

Now that is a WB Charger? How does it driver different than the 19 SP?

Suspension is definitely tighter. It feels a lot more confident on the road, the 19 Scat Pack wasn't sloppy just not as confident as the WB. The motor on the 21 WB definitely needs a long trip to get the break in process moving along, too.

So you do have a WB Challenger? I was told leave it in performance mode if you have the 8 spd. Auto and not to use the MDS feature because that reduces the life of the engine.

Yep, a wide body. I typically leave it in auto mode and only switch modes when needed. With only 600 miles on the motor it spanked a heavily modied 08 JGC SRT8 in auto mode the other day.

At least you know that the 392 won't over power those wider tires in SPWB package and fishtail unlike the regular non SPWB.
Also if it is absolutely true that leaving the 8 spd. auto in ECO mode wears out the engine faster I would definitely leave it PERFORMANCE mode or any other mode that will not wear out engine faster.

Believe me, I have a Non-WB Scat Pack with 6-speed manual and 315 tires on the rear, and the car still feels like it is overpowering the rear tires.
That's why I'm thinking now of swapping the rear shocks and springs to Drag type.

That sucks about the damage!

Would the clutch make your car more prone to fishtailing depending on your shifting or losing traction to those rear wheels?
