You did state “move on from Dodge” , but the question is where?
Ford is not Doing an new ICE Mustang, Ford is doing an update of the existing Mustang, with all new Mustang EV Only in 2027-2028.
Stellantis is giving you ICE + Hybrid options in addition to pure Electric options.
AND THE CARS ARE NOT AN LX.
There is no factual evidence of a hybrid charger/challenger coming except what some THINK might be coming. As of right now BAP is in limbo post 2023 and the premier of Ontario has told Stellantis if they think they're selling the plant/land for mega millions (to be turned residential) its NOT happening and to ask if they need support to keep it open. What else do we know? They're dumping 36 billion into EV tech and new platforms - I dont see a 6cyl turbo in there anywhere, not the billion+ it would take to re-crash test literally everything to use it.
It's still mind blowing to me that we have another 2 years before the new cars show up on lots... and that sounds like the earliest. Looking at the more expensive 2022's and the nothing new they offer for I think I'm done. Time to move on from Dodge. The car under the cover in Dodge EV day video looks like a refresh of the wide body Charger nose. Uninspiring to be honest.
The car under the cover wasn't the new EV, it was the final run refreshed current charger, likely the CY 2023 - one of the variants they announced last year. The "all conquering" EV muscle car was the outline of a 68/69 charger which they teased may be called hammer head due to the accordion front grille

Only question is do they do a proper retro charger (like challenger) or do they make it a 4dr model S competitor with 68/69 styling cues.

"But the reality is there are people in the trenches putting their heart and soul into what comes next, decision maker risking there entire career on what is happen right now. Not figuratively, actually risking their lively hood. I been adjacent to this my entire career, let me tell you how rare that is in the industry. It takes more courage in the environment than people imagine. The best project are the ones that look good on paper but never get implemented. Everyone cheers your fantastic powerpoint, it perfect on paper then you get 5 year promotion, and start again. The pressure to stay in line is immense."

What are you talking about - proposed vehicle designs and powertrain choices are approved at the board level.

(what ever the sound of a long deep breath outward)

Do you think new ideas and the hard individual decisions that make up a product happen at the board level? There is a large funnels of ideas and components that pass through a multi-gate system. Multiple approvals. By the time they get to board they have crossed more hurdles then one can imagine, the ROI and paybacks are included. Production and implementation plans. Their are iterations on top of iterations..... those involved in the systems understand. Product, Design, Powertrain, and marketing are not these people expertise, it is usually finance they count of the people I am speaking of to have it figured out before they sign off, and then are held accountable if results don't materialize.

I suppose a entire thread could be filled with Development system, most would be bored to tears, QS requirements would be where to start PLM next... both that is just a slice,

the culture is do your job stay in line, get your promotion, move on to the next thing. Stepping out of line is seldom rewarded.

Yea, not a fan of what I saw in that sneak peak of what was under the sheet. I'll reserve judgement but it looks too much like the current so far.

LX is roomy for the class but not for it size, i'd expect more efficiency in size to interior ratio
Giorgio derivative STLA Large will be a champion. Giulia is very roomy for its size.

Please explain to my wife her Stelvio is bigger inside then she thinks :D :D

She misses her Durango from a size perspective.

Ok, but Durango is a « monster ».

EPA space volume of Giulia is really impressive for its class.

STLA LG has a huge battery pack in the floor and motors front and rear - I see nothing from Giorgio and those saying so need to stop it unless we want another decade of fake news "Chrysler 300 is a 13 yr old e-class" (that electric charger/challenger is just an old failed alfa romeo)

lets settle this here - they can prove it in this thread - I predict crickets

We will see the first step between Giorgio and Large in the Grecale BEV. ;)

The new FIAT 500e eMini base also has battery on the floor and possibility of front or rear motor(s). But it’s still an evolution of the « classic » 500 base. ;)

STLA Large is the BEV evolution of Giorgio.

From what we saw of the teaser model under the tarp, it will be gas powered possibly hybrid of some sort. The reason I say that is because a full on electric model wouldn't make use of so many functional air vents.
