Its not... Challenger will be back... the Charger concept we seen, will morph into a four-door... look at the proportions of the sides

Thank you good sir. Myself (and many others) noticed the proportions and wondered about that. Glad to hear it!!! I certainly hope the retro front end and rear tail light design transfers over . The rear of the concept reminds me of my 2013 Charger that I love so much.

I dont believe they are playing any games with new product, I think they are skittish and unsure, to be honest. They know how to sell what they have, we all know they're good at that - but when they're gone, they're gone - and thats a year from now. They showed a 2dr hatchback coupe with 68 charger styling which clearly looks built off an LC (challenger) platform by an outside company (as the 07 challenger concept was). The word salad name tells me they also dont know what to even call it, whatever it ends up being. It could be more like a 68 charger, it could be a challenger or it could be a charger SUV like the Mach E. They left the door open, but only being a year away - they are under the gun.

I just hope that concept is a year old ( as it should be from the teaser ) and they are much further along with the plans

Job 1 is 99% going to be in 2024, not 2023.

Design is baked, marketing is clueless and useless as usual (seriously what do these guys do)

WTH are you talking about? It is a deadly sin to introduce a new model to market while you are trying to push existing product. Don't confuse the greater market to the geeks me included on this site. If the incoming product isn't ready to role in to have a zero supply downtime, there will be the LAST LAST LAST V8 Charger or Challenger special addition, the Super Classic throw back additions.

I hope the EV model does get the Front Foil Carry over, and the ICE get the classic hidden headlamp look... sorta like the Koreans did on that ugly SUV.... with the grill for radiator.

It is pretty awesome how well they have staying on message creating the illusion of urgency and setting the New Models to be surprise in the future.

I don’t get why you’re mad, surprised, or cynical. The V8s or V10s are getting insanely marked for the next generation (Viper?), why is offering more V8s before then a bad thing? Be mad at the dealers or the fact that they’ve marked up MSRP 20%/people don’t know about that sustainability thing that’s open to the public/anyone can donate to so that everyone can at least get the vehicle at MSRP (which used to be a deal, MSRP is stupid now)

I stand by what I said with respect to KM being able to do the Hurricane if they want to, because if that’s not true, what the hell does STLA Large mean anyway?

Look at the Wrangler - from the 2L to the 392.

Product planning says one thing and Engineering plans for another ;)

Anyone who says they’re boxed in because of the platform is lying. They can do whatever they want to do.

I am not following along well someone I silenced must be chiming in.... so be it I guess.

On one hand under the previous regime the platforms meant very little as they would morph them computationally to be what ever it needed to be even if the build points moved. Under Pepe LeCheapskate I worry that will no longer be the case, they seem to be hands off of NA for now, but it will come eventually. Coachwork Engineering will come here also, all the 80 LeeBros will be happy while the vehicles will be pedestrian they will look different even if they don't do anything particular well.

What is front foil carry over? I'm with you on the hidden headlamp look - that would be immense. Even if that's not the case, I just hope it doesn't look like the Hornet's DRL's or the mail box hole.

Well the Foil is the downforce element on the front to give the Car a vertical height while being aerodynamic. This infinity better solution then the fake grills that are on other EVs especially the LED grills, MB are hideous. I hope that makes the production vehicle.

Of Course that won't make the ICE which will need a radiator.

The 70 GTX look on the current Dodges looks good, but it not quite right on the Hornet. The Challenger and Charger should have IP that resembles the their B and E body counterparts of the time. I'd would mind some Plymouth on the Challenger.

If design is baked then there is no future challenger (the current halo)

Why?
If Charger is using the same design as the concept but a 4 door, there is still room for Challenger.

Who said its going to be a 4 door after just showing a coupe to the world? Think about it

They could have made a direct model S fighting 4 door, but they didn't, they built an EV muscle car coupe.

You’re reading too much into it. Bob wouldn’t be posting internal body codes (LB & LF) if there weren’t direct successors to the current models.
