Hello folks, I'm new to this forum an would like to learn about the Chrysler 300C (2015 - 2020) in which I am hoping to buy very soon.
I've been a Ford/Mercury/Lincoln purist my entire life but they abandoned me in 2011 when they discontinued the Town Car, Grand Marquis and Crown Victoria.
This just leaves the Chrysler 300C as the last remaining American brand, rear drive V8 luxury sedan.

The only other Chrysler I've ever owned was the 1987 Chrysler Lebaron convertible. Beautiful car and total babe magnet but very unreliable.

Luxury has been redefined from Large, Soft, and Sedan. Get a 300 soon as when the Dodge CUV is ready it will be displaced. The failure of the Continental has killed the USA luxury sedan. Moving forward it will be Trucks and CUVs, and the Premium Sedans with high equipment, automation, appointment, and performance. More of EU definition. The Charger will remain, it is lower levels it will drive like 300.

As someone that's owned several Lincoln Continentals of the past, I have to wonder, what the hell was Ford thinking with the current Continental?
Sure it has an amazing interior with loads of features but that tacky, after-thought suicide door looks cheap. That design doesn't look well with a conventional rear door with rear wheel well cutout. The front & back doors need to be symmetrical in order for that to work just like the 1961 - 1969 models and 2002 concept that didn't make it to production.
Also the front-drive V6 may turn away the very customers they're aiming for - despite it's impressive performance numbers.
I simply do not trust the Cadillac Alpha-Numeric models with their high-tec engines that will certainly be a pain in the ass to own in the long run. Plus the high sticker prices eliminates these for consideration anyway.
This just leaves the Chrysler 300C which just ended it's final production run this month.

The 300 will continue as long as it still fits on the Carriers and its capacity isn't displaced. But the traditional definition of Luxury in the USA has move on.
