The new Centauro II have been certified for deployment, it is made by C.I.O. (Società Consortile IVECO - Oto Melara), a consortium betwwen Oto Melar, part of Leonardo company, and Iveco Defence, that of CNH Industrial (till 2011/2012 part of Fiat Group / FCA).
This second generation is all redesigned, also new the engine (FTP Industrial, part of CNH Industrial) that is a 20 liter V8 of the family of Vector engines.
In this application maximum power output about 750 HP and maximum torque about 2500 Nm (1844 lbs ft).
It is not the highest rated version since there is a Vector sucessor engine (new family name should be V20) with about 910 HP / 4095 Nm maximum output.
Transmission is ZF Ecomat 7HP902 (7 foaewards + 1 rear gear).
