The Ram 1500 for truck of the year is a no-brainer. The GM twins don't have a chance.

The others are unclear. I would like to think the Wrangler would win, but MT does have a habit of picking futuristic/electric vehicles, which makes the think the I-Pace could win since it's the first real threat to (a floundering) Tesla, which means it is the electric vehicle to beat right now on the market. The XC40 is also a good option and is universally praised by reviewers.

As for COTY, I think the Volvo will get COTY because the Insight is not much of a step forward for hybrid vehicles. Genesis could win too, since Alfa won last year so there are precedents for MT awarding new brands.

Overall though, the brands with the largest advertising budgets will win, obviously... All of these are good bets except for the GM trucks, which were really only finalists since there are only three all-new pickups this year.

I think Ram 1500 for truck of the year, I-Pace for SUV of the year and I'm torn between the S60 or Genesis for car of the year.

Anyone know if it can be watched live this year? I don’t see a link anywhere and I enjoyed watching live in previous years.

I'm not too sure, I haven't heard much about it this year to be honest.

Truly excited about the Wrangler and Ram. I was hoping the Wrangler would get it. It deserved it more than the other SUVs.

Definitely. I'd say the Ram was a no brainer for truck of the year.

Definitely excited to see Wrangler get SUV of the year, they deserved it and were up against some tough competition, I fully expected MT to go another way with SUV of the year.

Same here.

Really happy with the 3 choices this year.

And the POTY award to Sergio is a nice touch too. Such a shame he isn't around still to receive it.
