Hello all. Purchased my first Mopar in 1976 while in high school, a '71 Duster with the 225 slant six. In 1977 while attending trade school in Arizona I made it into a street-strip car (not really streetable but licensed lol) with a fire breathing 440. Unfortunately, I did not keep any of the beautiful cars I have owned over the years, was always too broke to do much about it. Other notable Mopars I've owned included a '70 Superbee, '66 Charger, a '72 Roadrunner, a '71 Charger, and a '69 Dart. After that I went astray and owned and built numerous Fords and Chevys, and while I enjoyed them all very much at the time, Mopars have always held a special place in my heart. Well I guess you could call it a mid-life crisis, though I'm actually way past mid-life age-wise at 63, but I finally decided to get back into drag racing. I toiled over building something from scratch again, but at my age with all the injuries I've sustained and resultant aches and pains, I decided to just buy something now and start racing. So I ordered a Challenger 1320 last Friday! Pretty excited to say the least.
BTW, going way back, I wanted to make a quick comment about that old slant six I pulled out of the Duster. It had just over 100,000 miles on it when I pulled it out, but before doing so I wanted to see if I could blow it up. So I had a friend follow me down the freeway while I held it in first gear and drove it at wide open throttle. After approximately 6 miles I got bored and drove it back to the shop. I ended up it sticking it in an old Dart for my sister and she drove it for another 3 years before selling it. It was unbreakable. Oh, and it's fastest 1/4 mile ET with the six was in the mid 19's...

Dealer just emailed my VIN number for the 1320 Challenger I ordered last Friday, and it decodes as a 2021 Scat Pack 6.4. Yay!

Not as much activity on this site as I had hoped, kind of quiet. I guess everyone is out enjoying their rides!

In my case, a rental Miata MX-5 in Germany. The agent thought I was crazy renting a convertible in November. I told him I had been driving a big truck hauling grain on the farm for a month, and wanted something small and tossable for a change. 😁 He offered me a BMW M8 Convertible. I couldn't afford that much car. Not for 5 days, anyway.
