I think it will sell like hotcakes initially as well... while I do not think it will be evaluated the same as the PT in hind sight though. The PT now is looked on as a joke to the outside world, frequently ranking on the same lists as the Pontiac Aztec... while it was not near as bad as history is portraying it (Diamlers penny pinching really killed it) it in in most circles portrayed as a vehicle that should not have been built. The Scrambler will sell really well initially, then level off I think. But like the Iconic Wrangler it will have a loyal following that will keep it going for years to come I suspect, especially if it has offroad capability.
FCA is an international company and will carry on with pushing more Jeeps onto the international market.

Jeep pick-up could also be made in Italy or Brazil.

the pt cruiser was a hit in sales ... Daimler screwed it up. It has a cult following, and still looks unique today.
but , looks are selective and individual. I never owned one, but thought they were cool. I never compared
them to the Pontiac Aztec, that thing was ugly and should of been aborted on the drawing board.

It could be SOLD in other countries. I think the only other assembly point might be China....

What this does is put an FCA truck in dealerships planetwide.

This vehicle is sized better for most international markets.

Jeep has needed this for a long time. I expect it to do very well in international markets. Jeep won’t be able to build enough of them for the foreseeable future. When initial demand in the US is satisfied, and NAFTA sales level off, int’l sales should be taking off.

The problem is: how useful a pick-up is this vehicle?

A lot of talk about what it will look like, but will it be able to transport coffee down the mountain?

will it be able to transport tourists in Africa?

kruger-national-park-game-drive.jpg

will it be interesting for some of the boys in the middle east?

lots of money around for good or bad use.

I would think a Jeep pick-up in China will be very expensive as import and made locally for imported parts as well.

Renegade and Compass are made outside USA, why not a Jeep pick-up?
