Nice write up. Point of clarification please? The second electric motor, is that a belt-start-generator sometimes known as a P1 motor? Or perhaps it is built into the transmission (P3)? Just curious.

P1 according to FCA's naming convention could be BSG system which they call P1F. In this system should be exactly it. Other car manufacturers are using P0 to distinguish it to a real P1 systems which are called P1R by FCA.

Both P2 and P3 are integrated into a transmssion.

Can't wait to see the novelties from Geneva.

Hope they will unveil all of it... It would not be the first time that something is postponed.

A midcycle refresh of the Compass with more powerful and efficient engine options and better sound deadening would address its major problems.

Thank you. So P1f and P4... Wonder if/when we might see this power train used in a Ram Promaster City? My dream vehicle would be a BEV Promaster City Dropside pickup with a P4 e-axel driving the rear wheels made in one of FCAs Mexican plants and sold nationwide. Not that I’m holding my breath for this or anything...
