The Jeep® brand has been on a roll as of late, with the launch of a handful of new products. Curious about the future of the brand, Motor Authority had a chance to speak to Jim Morrison, Senior Vice President and Head of Jeep North America at the 2022 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) and boy did he have some interesting things to say.

I’m not sure if I read anywhere, if the WL platform is 48v friendly. But, similar to Audi and Mercedes, they can utilize an e-booster for additional power.

Baby steps?

I've got this strange way of thinking, but personally I do not want to just go from V8 to turbo V6 for my next vehicle, but I would go from V8 to hybrid+turbo.

In other words, I don't want to lose V8 sound/feel for a possible 10% efficiency gain - that alone not worth it. I don't live or drive where performance differences gain much. But I'd be interested in the hybrid benefits of the 4xe or whatever version hopefully is still coming for wagoneer/next durango / ram, and then have performance as another + side effect .
