An indirect confirmation, but PHEV Hurricane seems to be coming next:

Since it's inevitable that new tech is coming and we can't do anything about it, I'm coming around to the idea of a PHEV pickup truck. My drive to work is 19 miles. The Jeep 4xe would get me from my house to work in the mornings with no gasoline. I'd prefer a pickup truck for my use though, and it would be nice to have 50 miles of range. In that case it's a very viable solution. Still have the traditional ICE to fall back on for longer trips, hauling, towing, etc. That seems to be the best of both worlds. I would like that better than BEV. The full blown EV idea doesn't have the practicality.

Hopefully a PHEV Hurricane will find it's way into a Ram 1500 within the next few years.

I’m the same way. Commuting 25 miles each way in bumper-to-bumper traffic makes a 4xe with 50 miles of range ideal. I still want the ICE for road trips, which my wife and I do frequently. I think these plug-in hybrids are the best of both worlds. I’m looking to order a GC 4xe later this year, but I might hold out for a Wagoneer 4xe with the Hurricane if we get confirmation soon.
