Hi guys, I'm a new member. I want to buy a car via 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia but I´m a bit worried about that, just if they are reliable. Is there someone who knows them, or bought a car from them? What do you think about that? Thanks for answers.

I don't have any personal experience with the Giulia's reliability. Some of the reviews aren't very promising. Super fun car to drive though.

Welcome to the forums.

I would not be to much concerned especially with a reliability of a 2.0 turbo models. But it's a MY17, first year...

Speaking about 2.0 turbo. We had few with 280 HP on our local forum in my small country, both Giulia and Stelvio. Not a single problem except few flashes when this engine just came to the market.

I will not speculate on the specific reliability or unreliability of the Giulia. However, a LOT of the unreliability via the car magazines was not true.

A LOT of ad money was bought by a LOT of Alfa’s competition. It is rumored that this ad money was spent with the understanding that the editors would hammer the Alfa Giulia on reliability.

Part of it was FCA’s fault, as the initial test cars were preproduction units, without all of the kinks worked out. Some of the long term cars were former test cars that were absolutely slam hammered driven to death by video and magazine editors that thought they had the skills of Fangio.
