Classic and well worth it. Not in my pocketbook capacity though and I lack the chops to do it myself. But it’s definitly a dream machine!

SJs are my favorite vehicle of all time. Having grown up with my dad's I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them.

I have owned many.. from brand new off the dealer lot to used second hand.

All were great vehicles... until they either rotted out, the back window failed to open (either electric or crank) or the quadratrac chain broke..or the oil pump drive gear on the distributor stripped....or the drivers seat back broke.. or you got tired of 12 miles to the gallon..

Many years ago I retrofitted one with a 351 GMC diesel toroflow.. that was cool

Ahh nope..... I'll take a Trackhawk to these any day of the week.. If I'm gonna get 12 miles to the gallon Ill take my 707 HP rather than 205 HP.

Just telling it like it is... I have owned so many I have lost count. They were a great alternative to the Bronco's and Jimmys and Blazers.

They rode lower but had lots of grunt, I can't remember how many overweight trailers I pulled with them and they kept going. But like everything they had their Achilles Heels. You couldn't drive with the back window down or else be asphyxiated. And it always got dirty because of the drag. And now today the prices I see for pristine units it's incredible.

SJs are my favorite vehicle ever. Growing up, my dad had a 1979 Jeep Cherokee 2-door widebody SJ with a 360 in it. So I am very attached to the SJ.
