I know what kind of mod I'm going to do if I bought a GME-6T :)

So 3 power levels. It's all as expected.

Let's say that all 3 have electric supercharger. In my opinion at least 2 will have turbocharger and maybe the most powerful one will have a 2 supercharger. But this is an Inline engine and not Vee. So maybe they can solve with one turbo. For Vee it's more difficult to have it one turbo because of 2 hot ends which are usually on separate "wings" of the engine.

There is also electric turbocharger coming. Ferrari may have their hands on that one.

The low power one could have a small exhaust turbo plus an ebooster.

The question is for the high horsepower version, will it be using a single large example turbo and an ebooster to compensate for the lag? Or 2 mid-size exhaust turbos plus an ebooster?

Have you watched video which @redriderbob posted?

We are talking about 3 power levels. Base one 360, mid with maybe around 450 HP, and top with 525 HP.

It will be interesting to see. Italians are working on 2.9 V6 90° with 625 HP. Actually it should go in production this or next month. Car with it will go in production next May.
A very special car which will take on Ferrari and McLaren.

I did watch it a couple of times. It didn’t mention what kind of turbo setup we would be expecting.

It is interesting to know why FCA went through the trouble to develop the GME-6T and didn’t use Alfa V6.

And that 625hp Alfa V6 was supposed to be used on GTV. Which model is going to use it now?

Yes, but I think that two "lower end" variants will completely share the architecture. I'm not sure about HO version.
But also take a look at how Jag and Merc are doing it. They stop in around mid 400 HP and starts with 350+ HP. They have eBooster plus a single turbo.

GME T6 is on the cards at least since late 2015 if not earlier.

V6 90°? First model in the plans was Alfa 8C. That project switched over to Maserati as M240. Yes, it will have more than 700 HP; maybe even close to 800HP but that's as PHEV. Internal combustion engine should have 625 HP.
Than very similar or identical unit is planned as P2 MHEV for new generation Maserati GranTurismo which will be on Giorgio but also they plan it for Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio MCA models.

That is why I’m thinking the HO version will use a twin exhaust-driven turbo plus an ebooster for any turbo lag.

So starting with GranTurismo, Maserati will be sharing Alfa’s platform and engine!!!??

A Giulia with 600+hp will surely be mesmerizing.

@redriderbob, replying to Moparinsider's comment on YouTube, and since 5.7 and 6.4 are stick for awhile, do you think the engineering and development spent on the dead-now 7.0l HEMI will benefit and see the light in the 5.7 and 6.4?

The 5.7-liter HEMI will live on for a while. But the 6.4-liter will get three different versions in the future. Thats all I can say for now.
