The American performance brand is in a huge transformation right now, as its current muscle car lineup enters its last year in production and it is getting ready to deliver its first units of its all-new C-UV. But Tavares played a short 1-minute, 20-second video during his address that previews what is in the works for the 109-year-old car maker.

Really just the same stuff as announced from SEMA.
What we do get, though, is color proposals/approved colors. Some look to be carry-overs, along with the Grays Of Thunder and Stryker Red ones, but as I pointed out, we'll be getting a rather well fitting color in the Citron Yella maybe.
Also looks like we get another yellow. Excited for that one too.

I wonder if more actual info comes out for the Dodge Las Vegas event. Yes, it's centered around the big daddy of the Last Call models, but it does look like they're not going to leave the BEV at home for this.
Maybe price ranges or a final update to the concept car that showcases a lower spec and a new exhaust sound since they asked for fans votes for a new one at SEMA, clearly wasn't done in time for CES.

I swear I could see where they photo shopped over the seam for rear door on some of the photos.

Looks like the next Charger is set in stone, but this guy, me, thinks not. Here is my pitch...The Charger will remain a four door sedan, but as Triple alluded to, since this is a ground up undertaking, the new Charger will be sleeker and the sedan will be actually a kind of hatch back with both fastback and SUV attributes. There will be Hurricane powered Chargers and the Banshee will be it’s all electric model, perhaps the only performance muscle car to be so configured initially. Challenger will be completely Hurricane power, with a hybrid assisted AWD super coupe to top the lineup as well as being the basis of the Drag Pack race car.
Let’s see if Mopar Willy.is right on this one.

I'm assuming the production charger will have a hornet styled front clip?

Regarding the thing about the Charger BEV probably staying four doors, I somewhat feel like they'll keep it as coupe as possible while retaining it's practically by doing a half door or two a la 500e 3+1 or RX8. If not, I expect an eMuscle with 4 doors to show up 2025, probably being developed without people getting knowledge.

Still think a Charger Daytona coupe and a Charger sedan is the best way to go about the whole thing, but it wouldn't hurt to leave the Charger name back to the coupe and dig up some AMC era or K cars era name from the trademarks bin for a brand new 4 door model. Maybe that's the actual best way going forward?

Not the EV, my expectation is it will replace the wing with a formal hood and air intake.

Wild risk to introduce a full sized Coupe.... I think people forget how impractical and PITA they were. The backseat is only for kids. not because of room but because of how crappy it was to crawl back there. Fun for show, and fun of nostalgia, bad for sales and reality.

Formal hood an intake in the 68' looking front or in the hornet looking front?

Hornet front would seem out of place with the rest of the design language
Agree, was wondering how that would work. Liking the new green in the video, looks like Ford's highland green. I don't see the photoshopping of the rear door gap in the video. The gif looks like it has something going on there but don't see it in the video.

You can see the reflection break linearly vertically

CES 2023 Video Shows Us What Multiple Trims For The New BEV Could Look Like...

With all the hoopla about going electric, I think many do not comprehend that all the Mopar EV's aside from the Hornet won't be here for another 18 to 24 months! But then again, how many delays and promises were made on the Next Gen ICE Char/Chall models that never came! Sure hope the Mopar Icers will stay around!

I believe these to be stamping and many production components disguised as a concept.

I hear a common complaint about what a normal development cycle. Product development is like a funnel, if one is interested, they can reference the AIAG QS standards for engineering and stage gate process. There are multiple gates that must be cleared. For sure there some proposals that made it towards the last few gates, that doesn't make them failures or that it didn't exist just in the end not implemented.

And it is not like the outgoing models were static, and not wildly successful to point of this being the high mark in margin for those models, so well damn sure that last gate had a high standard.

Also, it seems like the "concept" reveal dates of the charger and REV may have been delayed due to waiting for certain patents to be granted, not necessarily product development delays. That leads to the concept and production debut dates being closer and closer to each other.

if that is also the case with the range extender REV, it would explain why nothing was discussed at CES (not to mention truck powertrain details not being really a CES sort of thing).

They were only recently awarded the patent for the AWD to RWD disengaging EV motor thingy, to improve EV efficiency.

There is no doubt in mind that BEVs will become better in a decade when costs come down, solid-state batteries allow the range to get massively better, and a good enough charging network is in place I think a majority of people will bite.

fusion and silicon batteries are requirement for full adoption. But so also in charging infrastructure not only public but private.
