Dear Members,

I am compiling poll results of those who have had damages incurred to their Challenger or other vehicle while it was in an FCA dealership service department. I am posting this same poll to other Mopar forums. Once completed and the results are reviewed, I am planning to send the results in percentages to FCA Corporate Offices.

Thanks

When my Avenger was in for the catalytic converter recall, it was returned with a broken glove compartment door and the wiper fluid nozzle assembly in the hood was broken as well. Everything worked before I dropped the car off. I had the recall postcard in my glove compartment and removed it to show the service manager. He said they didn't need it so I left it on the passenger seat. The glove compartment was fine and latched properly. I picked the car up, drove home, and when I went to place the paperwork in the glove compartment the whole door assembly fell upside down, dumping the contents on the floor. It still doesn't latch properly.

That does not surprise me a bit. I was recently told by a dealership body shop employee that there had been many times that new cars came in with slight damage and those vehicles were put in the body shop for repair before being put out on the lot as a "new" car or truck. That makes me wonder what we've really bought when we're driving our new vehicle home. Thank you for your post!

Took my 2007 Dodge Durango in for the airbag recall (years ago) and it came back with a huge scratch on the dash. I didn't bother to say anything to the service manager though.

I would have. I would have been highly ticked off.

So I brought the Trackhawk in a couple weeks ago for new tires. Mopar was running a special buy 3 get the 4th free.. of coure these are Pirelli Run Flats @ better that $500 each.

The technician broke my tire pressure transponder.... that cost e almost $80 dollars to replace plus a whole day sitting on my thumbs in the dealer waiting area. Now another tire transponder has stopped working. The heck with fixing it..I'll just watch the yellow blinking light.....

So yes....... such the Mopar deal......

I would have done better at my friends tire shop.. I could have bought four for less than I paid for three....

BTW Browns112 Brown's Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Patchogue | Car & Truck Dealer on Long Island did the service.. not my regular dealer... plus my BCM is bad under warrantee.. they still haven't called me with an appointment...
