I wonder how much of that vehicle is production ready, and how much is still prototype parts (looking at the holes in the front bumper, etc)

Very excited to see this. Using the best parts of different vehicles (10” screen from Ram, seat designs from Pacifica and Guilia) will push the GC to new heights of luxury. I’m cautiously optimistic on the exterior design with the hints given. It will be a bit odd if the GC has more design similarities with the old Wagoneers than the new upcoming model. For clarification, is the 3 row version going to debut simultaneously with the conventional Grand Cherokee?

I heard not too long ago the three-row version would debut first. Now it seems that may not be the case?

So I read it has "messaging" seats...... So do they text you and say your ass is getting bigger??????

I crack me up.

Seriously I hope the screens don't get any bigger than 10 inches I looked in a new Ram at the dealer and it's almost like its a big screen TV bolted to the instrument panel

I think it depends on the vehicle. Looked at a 3500 mega cab longhorn with the 12" and it didn't seem big at all. In the 1500s it seems plenty large tho. 10" will be nicely sized in GC

Having the current Durango and 3GC in the same showroom makes me believe FCA will NOT introduce an all new Durango for many years, if ever. I expect the model to follow the same pattern as other Dodge products of life as an amortized design that will live as long as it meets crash standards. Prepare for some lofty prices on the new 3 row GC and lots of available cash on the hood for the Durango.

I don’t question the validity of such a plan to gain profit, but I’m certainly not convinced of the sustainability of the strategy without a product infused rescue from an acquisition/merger.

Introducing a Hellcat version for 2021 Durango, when both versions of the Grand Cherokee are going to be introduced as well and fresh, lead me to believe 2021 is the last year for Durango nameplate which is going to be phased out to make room for both Grand Cherokees and Durango nameplate won’t be making it on DT platform for at least a couple of years.
