Disagree. I don't think that Auto Shows are good place.

Car unveils and also plans should be special Stellantis only events. It's much better that way.
But Carlos prefer Autoshows, as individual show might remind him of working for Carlos Ghosn:
Tavares shuns the annual gathering of business elite that Ghosn frequented in Davos, Switzerland, and shows up to glitzy car shows in scuffed-up dad shoes

I wasn't talking about Davos.

My point was about standalone FCA event. IMO FCA should unveil plans and new cars at standalone events. In that way all eyes are on them. They could get the all publicity from a car world for a week or two.

Goodbye PSA:
Fitch has simultaneously withdrawn PSA's IDR. The withdrawal follows PSA's merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA, BBB-/Stable, renamed Stellantis N.V.), which has now become the obligor of PSA's liabilities. GIE PSA's IDR will now be linked to Stellantis' IDR according to our Parent Subsidiary Linkage methodology.

All of PSA's assets and liabilities, including PSA's senior unsecured notes, have been legally transferred to FCA, then renamed Stellantis.

Credit report/Credit rating companies
Fitch views the deal as FCA doing a Friendly takeover of PSA,and then renaming its “Stellantis”.

Stand-alone/offsite events that are “unofficial” part of the Detroit Auto Show that spillover to the actual event have been the way ”the other Michigan Legacy” OEM’s been performing activities regrading that particular show.

I'm talking more about how VAG is unveiling their products. First of one off event at Wolfsburg. You have Golf, T-Roc, T-Cross... Whatever car unveil. Few months before some out show. All reporters from all over the world are there, you car gets exclusive media attention for week or two. Then you got to Auto Show with the same car. And few months later for the same car you have First Drive somewhere by the Mediterranean or Atlantic Coast. Another time when you/they have exclusive car media attention for week or two.

That would be cool thing, but so much of Stellantis’s lineup is regionally, so bringing people all over the world wouldn’t work.
Also the presentation targeted to Wall Street. Analysts do attend the Detroit Show even sometimes on the “Legacy Michigan 3” OEM dimes rather than the financial firm budget .

The last plan was unveiled at Balocco proving ground. Right? So I don't see why it should be Detroit. If it is why not at the proving ground?

I was talking about car unveils. Some of those cars, VW brand cars, are regional, Europe only cars.

Video of Balocco proving ground for those who aren't familiar:

Yes, those special events seem to be better nowadays. More focus by the media, which also gets a fuller experience. At least in Europe, FCA did that several times, already for 500 in 2007, Mito 2008 in Milan etc. And now in pandemic times virtual shows like the current CES (with FCA "booth") are totally worthless for the "visitor". Only a crutch to rescue the show infrastructure for better times. But car shows (and other trade fairs) have been shrinking and dying before Corona already.

@pumadog

I believe that the same guy was behind 500 and MiTo media days and VAG media days. 2008 was the year when he has left FGA and landed at VAG. Of course I'm talking about Renault Group CEO, Luca de Meo.

That might well be. But we also had Giulia preview at Museo Storico in Arese in 2015. I don't remember all special events by FCA.

Apple was pretty early and rigorous with leaving all trade fairs/tech shows and concentrating on their own regular special events.

Google Translate:
Tavares, the CEO of Stellantis today visiting Turin

First official release in corso Agnelli 200 for the CEO of the new group: at 3.40 pm he will attend the debut on Wall Street at Mirafiori

After its upward debut on the Milan (+ 7.6%) and Paris (+ 7.2%) lists and a capitalization of 42.2 billion, Stellantis is preparing to enter the New York Stock Exchange. A debut that the CEO, Carlos Tavares , will follow from Turin. The CEO of the group just born from the merger between FCA and PSA will visit the Mirafiori complex today . The first real opportunity to get to know the Italian component of his new team, immersing himself in the history of a factory in which Fiat began to move production from the old Lingotto site in 1939.

After visiting the departments, Tavares will stop in front of the office building, in front of the staircase of the historic Gate 5, in Corso Agnelli 200, where the new "Stellantis" sign has already been placed and the white flags are already waving with the new logo. . The directional lift will accompany the CEO to the second floor, where Fiat Auto's CEOs have always had their office. Tavares will walk along a corridor where a good piece of Italian automobile history has been written, and more. He will walk where, before him, Senator Agnelli, Gianni Agnelli , Vittorio Ghidella, Paolo Cantarella, Roberto Testore, Herbert Demel, Sergio Marchionne, Gianni Coda, Alfredo Altavilla, Mike Manley and Pietro Gorlier walked, among others . At 3.40 pm sharp, the new CEO will choose from which position to watch the debut of the Stellantis stock on Wall Street . He will then hold a streaming press conference where, in all likelihood, he will begin listing the group's strategies.

Quite the symbol that the leadership gives the "Go" – initiation conference – from Turin and not Paris, Detroit or Amsterdam.

How big are the official Amsterdam (Lijnden) headquarters anyway? I saw that it's in an airport business park. Is it more than a mail department?

It’s FIAT Chrysler company owned Dealership

Lijnden “Headquarters”.
“ “ definitely apply, but it is better than a mailbox.

Okay, looks like a post box at a dealership. But the Google review didn't really help. :p
