If I was writing the script, I would leverage the Free2Move service so there would be Fiat 500e battery electrics, along with Jeep Renegade and Compass hybrid models in the North American fleet. This would help familiarize consumers to these products. The California compliance 500e created some unintended but positive situations. Federalizing the new Fiat 500e and putting it the Free2Move fleet will help defray the cost of regulatory compliance. Qualify and permit dealers outside the regular Fiat boutique franchise to sell and service the new Fiat 500e along with other models adapted and equipped for F2M service. Continue the boutique dealers in regions were they work well and sell the rumored Abarth electric along side the fancier Fiat and Alfa Romeo models.

Stellantis could develop an entry level model for North America with F2M in mind as well. The new baby Jeep is mostly likely to small to play here, but the front drive mild hybrid Jeeps would due. In Europe the mild hybrid system available on a higher trim line, here i would offer with a lower level trim as well.
My feeling Chrysler and the Horrent will be active in the “Free-2-Move” service in the U.S.

You know I just realize Stellantis haven’t made any statement about the FIAT brand in the U.S. since Carlo’s early days after closing.

I’m pointing this out, given how Stellantis now have resources to fully fund U.S Pensions to surplus status , spending $700 million to removing a brand like FIAT from U.S & Canada is a different question now in 2022 than 2015 FCA with Massive Net Debt.

Either go EV only or leave Europe in a couple of years. And America a little later. There's no choice. Let's see how hydrogen solutions and solid state batteries develop.

I’m pointing this out, given how Stellantis now have resources to fully fund U.S Pensions to surplus status , spending $700 million to removing a brand like FIAT from U.S & Canada is a different question now in 2022 than 2015 FCA with Massive Net Debt.
Just to update my thoughts: we now have confirmation that pulling the FIAT brand from U.S. and Canada is on the table: Carlos stated to American Media he don’t know what to do about FIAT brand in U.S & Canada (I think they will keep it in Mexico):
"We still have to think about how we make the Fiat brand rebound in the U.S.," Tavares said. "We have a couple of ideas, and we didn't yet make all of the decisions."
The Chrysler Pension (U.S./Canada) has a deficit of approximately 2.3 billion Euros

So since that promise fill the 2.3 billion euro hole (that’s a improvement vs past years) an approximate $700 million charge to remove the FIAT brand from U.S./Canada is pretty rationale.

I think Alfa and Maserati could have V6 sporty options… but BEV will redimension the « power »… a V6 with 800hp will not be a le to compete with BEV 1000-1500hp powertrains…

Read the fine print on some battery electric vehicles. The technology doesn't do well for high speed long distance travel. Such purposes require more batteries ,which means more weight and higher charge times. Aerodynamics comes into play big time with this. Add a bunch of batteries, more motors, and a slippery, low slung shape, then there is little passenger room left. Back in the glory days of ICE powered hot rodding there was the legendary sign in a speed shop window. "Speed costs money. How fast can you afford to go?"

If you understood Carlos talk, that is an dis mission, ("We still have to think “ despite being CEO 14 months)
In other words even If there were a rebound, would it be worthwhile given Stellantis U.S. ATP (Average Transaction Price).

It’s absolutly not the mean that I understand in:
Carlos made something in kind to that fashion about Peugeot Not coming to U.S. prior to the closing of merger.
Agree to Disagree : Carlos has track record of speaking in Coded Language(he done less since the merger).
