If you are an avid reader of MoparInsiders.com, you might remember back in May we showed you exclusive photos of a particular Wrangler Rubicon test vehicle wearing a new 35-inch tire and wheel combination. But now thanks to some new leaked details online, we now are learning more about the upcoming off-road package aimed squarely at Ford's Bronco Sasquatch package.

AEV had all the hardware ready, Ford had to know it was coming.

Heck, AEV has 37" package so even if Ford response it just packaging for the Wrangler to respond. Ford being IS on all corners makes it difficult.

Get things out of the factory with proper build (pre-Chip shortage)is a big problem for Ford.
Hence why Ford make the least Automotive profits among the Legacy Michigan 3 OEM’s.

Apparently Ford has a Bronco on 37 inch tires in development right now, internally called the Warthog. It will be interesting to see just how quick they respond.

Solid axle is basically infinite, or at least to a practical tipping moments. IFS has to have dynamic redesign.

My opinion would be that majority of buyers will not actually care about who has the best on paper specs. Wrangler is better offroader as it will have better articulation / less 3wheel tottering and has better visibility.

But it is the other characteristics of the vehicles that will make the difference. Do you like something that feels bigger and looks blocky = Bronco. Likely more comfortable front seats = bronco. Open air hardtop design = Bronco. Do you have to have that new shiny thing = bronco

I think there is space for both the wrangler and bronco to be successful. No doubt the bronco will make jeep better.

Jeep® Releases Official Details On Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme Recon Package:

Watch Out Bronco Sasquatch, Wrangler Is Coming For You!

1624643437943.png

Thanks to an article released early on the Overland Expo homepage earlier this week, we quickly learned more details about an interesting test vehicle our spy photographers caught back in May. This morning, the Jeep® brand released details backing up the Overland Expo article, on the new Xtreme Recon package (not to be confused with the Mexican limited edition Rubicon Xtreme-Trail Rated model). The new off-road package is aimed squarely at the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco Sasquatch package, which is currently now starting to show up at Ford dealers.
