If you have been paying attention to the news in the Mopar world as of lately, you have probably heard of the new SRT HELLCAT Redeye for the 2019 model year. The 797-horsepower version of the Challenger, got the powerplant from the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and has been making all of the headlines as of late. However, the original supercharged bad kitty got some important upgrades for the 2019 model year and has had to play back set to its Redeye twin.

For the 2019 model year, the most obviously difference on the Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT is the dual-snorkel hood. The change to this hood design allows for more air to be pushed into the airbox and allows the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT to get bumped up to 717-horsepower. But, that isn’t the only changes for the 2019 model year. SRT HELLCAT gets some new equipment as well as a starting U.S. MSRP of $58,650, more than $5,000 less than 2018 model. Unlike the Redeye, the SRT HELLCAT gets the option of both a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic. So if you are a fan of shifting gears, this kitty is for you.
