As the former Fleet Director of my former PD (I retired after 30 years as a Police Officer), I switched my PD over to the Chargers in 2013. My Chief really wanted to stay with Ford and had me order a few Explorers. The guys loved the Chargers over the Explores, and he gave in after that. We...
My take on the future for our old Chrysler brands….
CHRYSLER. Will only have a mini van. No Sedan, crossover or SUV
DODGE. 2 Chargers, coupe and sedan. Hornet will not sell and be gone and new Durango will be a Ram
Ram will have its full size P/U, and we will see the midsize return. The...
OK did I miss something? Not being an EV person I’m pretty impressed by the Six Pack seems like it will be a good engine and fast one at that. One thing I did not read between this article in the one that was before it introducing the EV was there was no mention of a hybrid. If memory serves me...
You are so right Bill! This car looks great, being offered in both 2 and 4 door with both using ICE power plants. With 420 HP for a sedan that isn’t a Hemi, not bad at all for a family mover! My ‘13 AWD 3.6 moved out pretty damn good for a 6 banger, @300 HP. Can’t imagine the punch this will...
Definitely not into the EV thing. But I do like the twin turbo ice engine version. That is sharp looking. I like how they reworked the hood for a full engine. The car looks really sharp. Reminds me of my 2013 charger. I do think a big mistake is holding off on the ice engines for a year. I doubt...
Wednesday’s NBC nightly news reported the Biden Administration was changing that date from 2028 to 2036! It was reported due to demand, the public’s reception to EV’s and the worry the nation’s power grid is ready. Lester would now be feeding us B.S. now would he?
There was a market in the late 60’s and the early 70’s for both. Not only did the Dodge muscle siblings compete against each other, the had their Mopar cousins at Plymouth to compete with! Can’t see an issue this time if Dodge presents them just right.
Although I don’t like EV’s and hope to never be forced to own one, you have so many great facts at why Dodge is doing what there doing. I can’t support sales of only EV cars, but can agree with your thought process on this issue. It does make sense to why.
I agree, over all a sweet truck, but that grill, WTF were they thinking? Apparently they weren't. Yes I would love to see the crosshair grill back, we all know that’s not happening any time soon. But something better than this.
Ok Bill I will give it a try. I do NOT want Chrysler or Dodge to go away. I am 58 and have owned nothing but Mopar since my first car in 1981! I will look at the positives and hope for the rise of Chrysler!!
Seriously? Another concept car set for 20 years into the future. Outside of the EV system on the large platform, don’t see much of this being a production car anytime soon. I would have rather seen the Airflow Graphite go into production. Digging the hole deeper for Chrysler. Just an fyi...
I have my 1958 Plymouth Belvedere show car sitting in my garage. It’s not going any where but car shows! I just hope I can still get gas for it in 11 years! Lol
While I was purchasing my new Durango, my 26 yr old daughter came for the ride. She saw the Hornet and said hey that’s cute. Not what I think Dodge is looking for in response to it. We actually looked at one and she seemed to like it a lot more than me. The price was a bit over her budget...
