The Renault CEO has called for european manufacturers to merge and create an "Airbus" of the automotive sector to compete with the chinese.
That idea is beyond catastrophic and it just shows how desperate Renault is about the chinese manufacturers. Strangely, their newest affordable EV, the...
When you have people here and in Allpar bragging that they pay more for their vehicles and that Europe is not pulling its weight in terms of profits for Stellantis...
Many Mopar fans are happy to ripped off and proud of being more ripped off than europeans.
IMO, this model should only be available with a 800V architecture. 800V can cut fast-charging times roughly in half.
It basically answers the complaint of having to wait 30 minutes to charge when stopping and makes long distance traveling (over 1000km) much more viable. For US consumers this is...
The auto manufacturers need to come to grips with the fact that we are now in a high interest rate environment.
Also, there's a lot of unmet demand in Europe for cheaper vehicles.
Ask the US management. The Maserati MC20 was supposed to be an Alfa until Manley killed it and shifted the project to a Maserati, and this is based on the MC20.
They are throwing a bone to Alfisti with this. That's it.
This is an amazing surprise. And the best of both worlds. Serial hybrid with a still quite big battery? Awesome.
Hopefully it can get the $7500 rebate. Very well done Stellantis.
So you hate unions, because they manage to get decent salaries to workers because you live under $18 an hour? Maybe you should, I don't know, unionize to get the same perks instead of being a boot licker? That has only gotten you $18 an hour salary after all.
I assume you are with UAW. I hope you guys win every concession you want. It's obscene to see quarter after quarter of record profits and the workers getting squeezed with the increasing cost of life.
Mmmm a lot of stuff there that I am not super-happy about.
First, this platform was developed with two battery packs in mind: one of 87kWh and one with 98kWh, both with NMC chemistry. It was developed with a 60kWh pack in mind as well, but then this pack was discarded (no reasons given). No LFP...
Everything in Europe now is done with a PSA bias. Same in LATAM. The new Fiat compact pick-up is a rebadge of a Peugeot pick-up that doesn't sell well in Brazil.
This will all be moot in 5 years anyway in Europe since EVs will be majority of the market anyway.
I don't think that the current purpose of Fiat is to continue in the US. For example, the new 600e doesn't comply with US regulations so it can't be exported to the US.
If Fiat is just a one model brand in the future with the 500e, then it is destined to disappear eventually.
