Any recommendations to do a factory order on a new 2021 or 2022 R/T 392 SPWB Challenger to get at or below MSRP in San Francisco Bay area?

Or how about that Costco automobile buying program? Any Recommended Dodge dealerships from Fremont, East Bay to Roseville, Sacramento areas in California?

Joined this site recently and unfortunately, it is very quiet, very little discussion or follow up going on. I see people that ordered cars many months ago or even late last year and no update since. Did they ever get their car? Did they cancel their order? Who knows...
I ordered a 2021 RT Scat Pack 1320 on October 22, 2010 and got my VIN number on October 27th. Very surprised they were able to order a 2021 this late in the year.

Did you ever find what you were looking for?

No the micro chip shortage seems to have affected the availability of the 2022 Challenger for putting in a factory order. Unless I hear otherwise I will have to outwait this micro chip shortage. Also must find a dealership in California that I do a factory order at MSRP or less.

Yes very quiet. No follow up on what is happening or has happened to other perspective Challenger owners.

I think I must have placed the last possible 2021 order late last month. When I checked yesterday my local dealer told me Dodge is no longer accepting 2021 orders and is on hold until further notice to place 2022 orders. They told me my car could show up in as soon as 4 weeks or take 14+ weeks. At least I do have the VIN number for whatever that's worth...

yeah... until the chip supply is sorted good luck with at or below invoice.

Try the used market.

That is because right now, production is being done on a weekly basis due to semiconductor shortage.

Apparently not the badly as your conditions make it unlikely.

If you don't want to pay over invoice then you will have to wait, who know how long it will take the market to readjust, dealers aren't going to be in rush because believe it or not hold low inventory and getting good margins are actually good for the them.

Places here in Michigan wont even take any incentives or employee discounts... they will sell to whoever is paying MSRP. No bargining. Thus explains why I am holding onto my Ram 1500.

Same here. I'm looking at replacing my 2009 Ram 1500 with a DT Ram 1500 or a 2500. Used the Build Your Own function on the web site to get an idea of new price, and then started looking at used. What a shock! I'm NOT paying near new prices for a 1 or two year old used vehicle even if it only has 15K miles. Fortunately, I really like my Ram and it still runs good. Just retiring in December, my wife surprised me with the cash to pay for most of the truck, and we will be towing our camper around more once retired. I can afford to get more miles out of the 2009 and take my time while this mess sorts itself out.

Invoice or MSRP? In either case I can wait as long as up to 2023.

Prices will likely increase even more next year, not sure waiting is going to help. If you can get one at MSRP right now I'd do it. And if your financing, Chrysler Capital is still offering 72 month zero interest loans, and that is free money. That also may not be available later on.

Yes, headquartered in Texas, but any dealer can use them, for example I'm in Arizona. In the last week of December 2021 they gave me a 72 month zero percent loan on a 2021 1320 and a 2021 Durango TNT. The dealer was surprised they allowed me to have the deal on two vehicles at the same time. Not sure what the minimum down payment is but I offered $5,000 on each vehicle and it was accepted. I would have walked on the Durango if I didn't get it the deal, bad enough having two car payments at the same time. Zero interest sealed the deals for me, plus I got them both under MSRP and the dealer gave me 84 month zero deductible factory extended service plans at cost.

Thanks for that info. At least if I need financing this is another avenue. The other is finding the closest dealership here in CA.

I actually didn't use my closest dealer which is only 20 miles away. I drove approx. 65 miles because I had purchased two Ram trucks there in '18 & '19 and they gave me way better deals than the local dealer. No hassles, no games, no stress. I have been purchasing new vehicles for over 4 decades now and at the first sign of BS I walk. It's worth shopping around for a dealer you can trust, even if it means traveling out of town to do it. I would imagine you would have a lot to chose from in CA, bummer though is you have to have a front license plate there. We tried driving w/o them on our nicer cars when we lived there and always got pulled over it; sucks...
