The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) is set to kick off tomorrow, April 5th, with press conferences from various automakers. However, this year, Stellantis’ Chrysler Group has scheduled not one, not two, but three press conferences for the day.
Ram –
The first press conference will feature the Ram brand at 9:20 a.m. EST. While Ram already introduced its Ram 1500 BEV Revolution Concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January, it has not been showcased at a public auto show until February at the Chicago Auto Show. It is speculated that Ram may unveil its pre-production 2025 Ram 1500 REV electric pickup, which was teased during the Super Bowl earlier this year.
Alternatively, Ram may reveal the production version of the 2024 Ram ProMaster BEV electric commercial van, expected to debut later this year.
Jeep® –
The second press conference will involve the Jeep brand at 11:35 a.m. EST. It is expected that Jeep will unveil the updated 2024 Jeep Wrangler (JL) as dealers were informed about the mid-cycle action (MCA) last month just before initial orders for the vehicle opened up.
Jeep also promised to showcase its upcoming off-road-oriented Jeep Recon 4xe (EJ) and Wagoneer S BEV (KX), which may be on display for the first time at the show.
Chrysler –
The third and final press conference, held by the Chrysler brand, is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. EST. Chrysler CEO, Chris Feuell is set to announce a new partnership between Chrysler and the Autism Society of America. The new long-term partnership initiative that supports the driving needs of individuals with autism and their loved ones. The announcement at the 2023 NYIAS will highlight the creation of a new Calm Cabin package that can transform any Chrysler Pacifica into a sensory-supported mobile experience.
