Charger Daytona Convertible in the Works from Drop Top Customs

Convertible Building is Working with Dodge to Create New-Gen Charger Convertible...

Drop Top Customs is making waves again, this time with a jaw-dropping convertible version of the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona. Following their successful collaboration with Dodge on Challenger convertibles in 2022, the Florida-based custom shop is once again partnering with the automaker to create something extraordinary.

The Charger Daytona Convertible is shaping up to be a showstopper. While details are scarce, Drop Top Customs has confirmed their design team is collaborating closely with Dodge to ensure this open-top transformation maintains the iconic muscle car look while delivering an unparalleled driving experience.

Images have surfaced on Drop Top Custom’s social media, giving a sneak peek at the new convertible. Based on the Charger Daytona’s two-door liftback design, the model features a sleek retractable black soft top. The roof’s profile seamlessly echoes the hardtop’s lines, enhancing the car’s aggressive and aerodynamic styling.

In their Challenger conversion package, Drop Top Customs provided customers with a power retractable roof, heated rear glass, operational quarter windows, and reinforced structural integrity—all for $23,999. While pricing for the Charger Daytona Convertible hasn’t been revealed, similar upgrades and features are expected.

The 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and Charger Daytona Scat Pack cater to different needs within the electric muscle car lineup. Starting at $59,595, the R/T offers a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with 456 horsepower (340 kW) and 404 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 100.5 kWh battery delivering 317 miles (510 km) of range. This model strikes a balance between power and efficiency, making it ideal for daily drivers and longer trips.

For those seeking raw performance, the Scat Pack starts at $73,190 and delivers 630 horsepower (470 kW) and 627 lb-ft of torque. Its range drops to 260 miles (418 km). With the R/T prioritizing range and affordability and the Scat Pack focusing on speed and power, both models offer unique options for modern muscle car enthusiasts.

However, the car is far from finished. Drop Top Customs still needs to fabricate an entirely new trunk section, as the Charger Daytona features a hatchback design. This requires additional work to ensure the fit and finish meet the company’s high standards of quality. Despite this, the teaser images are promising, and the final product is expected to be as refined as the outgoing Challenger builds.

With Drop Top Customs’ expertise and Dodge’s newest muscle car design, the Charger Daytona Convertible promises to combine muscle car-like performance with the freedom of open-air cruising. More details are expected to emerge soon, as the unveiling is slated to coincide with the start of vehicle deliveries.

Taking the top off DID NOT help its looks.

I guess someone thinks there is a market for this car. Good luck on that.

I actually love the look of this. However, it needs a potent sounding ICE and a 6 sp manual to complete the package for me. Some may like this as an electric. Dodge needs to find customers wherever they can.
