CAUGHT: New Sport Performance Hood On The 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon!
Will Be Available On Laramie/Limited Sport/Night Edition & Power Wagon Models...
As we are entering the 2023 model year, Ram has dropped subtle hints about its 2023 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty lineup. Dealers have been able to order the 2023 models for the past month or so, however, Ram has yet to showcase its updated Heavy Duty lineup.
Among the subtle updates for the 2023 model year, including a new 12-inch frameless digital gauge cluster, a new digital rearview mirror with side camera integration, Trailer Reverse Steering Control (TRSC), next-generation trailer-tow mirrors with telescoping capability, and enhancements with the camera system, which includes a new Trailer-Tow app, multiple view modes, behind-trailer view, and blind-spot viewing.
But one thing we have seen over and over again is 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Power Wagon, Laramie Sport/Night Edition, and Limited Night Edition models equipped with what Ram is calling their new “Performance Sport Hood”. Until now, we have been seeing the hood completely covered with camouflage, not giving us much detail about the new design. However, keen-eyed spy photographers have caught the new 2023 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Level 3 sitting in a public parking lot without any camouflage.
The new hood takes subtle hints from the Ram 1500 “Sport Performance Hood”, however, it adds an actual intake scoop as well. It is unknown if there will be a performance boost due to the new hood, but it looks impressive. It clearly makes the front of the Power Wagon more “muscular”.
The 2023 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty should be officially unveiled in October, with production scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 1st, according to fleet site Donlen.com.
