Vin Diesel Confirms Fast X: Part Two Release Date

Final Fast & Furious Movie Hits Theaters April 2027

It’s official—Fast X: Part Two, the final chapter in the Fast & Furious franchise, is coming to theaters in April 2027. The announcement came straight from Vin Diesel himself during a special appearance at FuelFest, the car and culture event co-founded by Cody Walker, brother of the late Paul Walker.

With the Fast & Furious saga celebrating its 25th anniversary, Diesel says the final movie will be a true return to form—and a farewell fans won’t forget.

“The first [condition] is to bring the franchise back to L.A.,” Diesel told the crowd. “The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing. The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner. That is what you’re going to get in the finale!”

For longtime fans, that’s huge news. Many have felt the series strayed too far from its street racing roots, trading car culture for global espionage and over-the-top action. Diesel made it clear this last ride will honor what made the franchise special in the first place.

And yes, the late Paul Walker’s beloved character, Brian O’Conner, is coming back in some form—likely using advanced CGI and VFX, just like his final appearance in Furious 7.

Not everyone is on board with that idea. Social media has seen mixed reactions, with some accusing the franchise of going too far and “milking” Walker’s memory. But Diesel’s co-star and close friend Tyrese Gibson stood up for the decision.

At the end of the day, this final chapter is about going back to where it all began: Los Angeles, street racing, and a story about family.
