Meet The MILITEM Magnum – The Premium Italian Take On The Ram 1500:

Italian Touches Grace This Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition...

Over the past three years, we have seen a number of aftermarket companies try to put their own spin on the fifth-generation Ram 1500. Everything from modest lifted offerings to a premium “fastback” luxury limousine has been made from the RAM brand’s halo vehicle. But one Italian company may have one of the best offerings we have seen yet.

MILITEM is an Italian premium luxury brand that was created in 2017 by Monza-based Cavauto, an importer/dealer specializing in American vehicles since the 1980s. Over the past couple of years, MILITEM has introduced two vehicles that are based on Chrysler Group vehicles like the Jeep® Renegade and Wrangler. The third vehicle is based on the Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition pickup and is dubbed the “Magnum”.

Putting its own Italian spin on the Ram 1500, MILITEM has created a premium offering with the Magnum that isn’t too over the top and yet gives the Ram 1500 an ultra-premium interior looking chic enough to pass through any fashion show in Milian. Each lifted MILITEM Magnum takes over 200 man-hours to build and looking at it we can understand why.

On the exterior, MILITEM has fitted the Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition with a unique body-colored MILITEM front grille, body-colored fender flares, dual performance exhaust, a set of MILITEM signature Black Edition 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35×12.50 R20 Cooper Tire oversized All-Terrain tires, a 5-inch MILITEM Extreme Performance lift kit, and tuned suspension. MILITEM also ditches all of the exterior R-A-M emblems in favor of its own Magnum badges (only one RAM logo stays intact and that’s the radiator cover under the hood), ultimately creating a truck that doesn’t ruin any of the Ram 1500’s styling while offering a more aggressive tone to the truck.

Despite the addition of the lift, wheel and tire upgrades, and suspension tuning, the MILITEM Magnum is rated to tow over 7,700 lbs. But this not just your average lifted street truck, MILITEM says that its 5-inch Extreme Performance lift kit gives the truck an approach angle of 23.1°, break-over angle at 27.1°, a departure angle of 28°, and 10-inches of ground clearance. Power running boards are also fitted to help you climb into the lifted Magnum with ease.

Inside, is where the Magnum really shines. MILITEM has refitted the seats with an all-new design of fine grain leather and Alcantara® appointments, as well as fitting the door inserts, steering wheel, and instrument panel (I/P) with even more premium leather. There are MILITEM badged door sills guards, velour rugs, and even the interior the center stack is wrapped in velour. The two-tone interior is one of the most handsome looking applications we have seen done to the Ram 1500 and easily upstages RAM’s already well-designed cabin.

Of course, the truck still features some of the premium content Ram 1500 Laramie owners have come to love. There is the 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 900-watt 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 360° surround-view camera system, parallel and perpendicular parking assistance, lane-assist, adaptive cruise control (ACC), front and rear Parksense, and Blind-Spot Monitoring.

Under the hood lies your choice of either the standard 5.7-liter HEMI V8 or its mild-hybrid eTorque counterpart. Both are rated at 400 horsepower and 410 ft.-lb. (556 Nm) of torque and coupled to the standard 8HP75 TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. MILITEM also offers Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and flex-fuel capability of the HEMI using technology from Prins. The LPG option adds a 150-liter gas cylinder to the truck.

The MILITEM Magnum is available in four exterior colors, Diamond Black, Flame Red, Billet Silver, and Granite
Crystal.

Pricing for the MILITEM Magnum starts at € 88,880 (or about $107,815 USD). That price does not include VAT, IPT, and on-road charges. Those looking for the LPG option will have to pay an additional € 3,700 (about $4,500 USD). For more information on the MILITEM Magnum, you can visit MILITEM.it.
