Australians Can Now Get Their Hands On The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX:

RHD Conversion Are Now Available Down Under...

American Special Vehicles Pty Ltd. (ASV) which does business as “Ram Trucks Australia” is the only factory-backed importer and distributor of Ram Trucks for the Australian and New Zealand markets. Currently, the company is working with the Ram Truck brand to bring the Ram 1500 TRX to market in Australia, however, another company has been them to the punch.

Australian Manufactured Vehicles (AUSMV), a distributor for remanufactured right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles that focuses on performance cars and pickups is now offering the Ram 1500 TRX to Australians.

That’s right, the 702 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8-powered performance off-roader is now available in the “land down under”. The TRX is the quickest, fastest, and most powerful mass-produced truck in the world and the AUSMV appears to have done a pretty good job at converting the massive pickup to RHD.

When compared to the factory-backed Ram Trucks Australia trucks like the recently-launched 2021 Ram 1500 (DT) Limited, we can notice some slight differences in the RHD conversions on the interior. While Ram Trucks Australia works with Ram Truck engineers to make sure that its products are as close to its North American counterpart as possible, we see that the AUSMV conversion isn’t quite up to par.

Looking at the upper glove box, we can see AUSMV has to cut most of the glovebox’s push-button away so it would fit around the air-vent bezel. We can also see that the TRX badge on the glovebox is also more towards the middle of the vehicle. On the Ram Trucks Australia Limited models, the glovebox compartment is completely replaced to look like a mirrored image on the one found on lots here.

But beggars can’t be choosers and those who crave high-performance will overlook the small attentions to detail in order to enjoy what the truck was designed for.

So for those of you who live in Australia and don’t want to wait to see if the TRX will make it through the factory-backed authorized dealers, there are options.

The good news is, that AUSMV does warranty their vehicles and has the biggest authorized services networks out there. Each AUSMV new vehicle comes with a 3-Year/100,000-kilometer warranty. There is also an extended warranty for those who have had all scheduled services done through the authorized AUSMV Network, which covers 5-year/160,000-kilometers.

The TRX has a starting price of $203,400 AUS (or about $150,028 USD). We have seen some of the AUSMV remanufactured TRXs with prices as high as $264,830 AUS (or about $195,338 USD) depending on the options. Those prices exclude Australian on-road taxes.

I see no reason why Rams, Dodges and Jeeps of all kinds would not find a receptive audience in this market. Aulstralians share so much in common with Americans, and we with them, why not our Mopars?
