Many people have questioned Dodge for not making a convertible version of the current model of Dodge Challenger. Sure there were initial prototypes of such a vehicle, with even some being photographed being taken to the scrap yard. But leave it to the aftermarket to come up with ideas and giving them to the folks who ask.
Converted by Droptop Customs in High Springs, Florida (a well-known conversion shop for Challenger convertibles), this Hellraisin-colored two-door looks simply amazing and ready for warm weather action. Appearing on popular YouTuber Doug DeMuro’s car auctioning website Cars & Bids, this 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Convertible is what a lot of Challenger fans have been dying for.
Being a Scat Pack, of course, there is a 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI V8 under the hood. The 392 HEMI delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque through a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. The perfect combination, for a true driver’s car.
To help even set itself further apart, there are custom touches beyond just the power-operated soft-top. Things like a padded insulation layer between the bow structure and the roof, front strut tower brace, heated rear window, tinted windows, purple painted calipers, purple LED halo headlights, purple push to start button, custom shift knob, and a Katzkin leather interior.
Currently, the auction has three days left, with $40,000 being the top bid as of the writing of this article. The car is located in St. Augustine, Florida, features a clean Carfax report, and only has 5,590 miles on the odometer.
Whoever purchases this car, is sure to have a great time this summer on those twisty backroads whether they are alone or have a few friends with them.
