The Jeep® Wagoneer has been an American icon for over half a century. First introduced in the 1960s, it was the original SUV, combining off-road capability with passenger comfort and style. Now, for 2023, the Wagoneer is back, and it’s better than ever.

The 2023 Wagoneer builds on a rich legacy of premium American craftsmanship, heritage, and refinement while offering unparalleled comfort and legendary 4×4 capability. It’s the epitome of American comfort and craftsmanship, with an interior that exudes refinement and elegance, offering a spacious third row as standard with seating for up to eight passengers.

Leading-edge technologies, including the advanced Uconnect 5 system, a heads-up display (HUD), 360-degree surround view, up to 50 inches of total screen surface, available Amazon Fire TV, and industry-first McIntosh audio system, offer an unmatched selection of premium interior features. Combining these attributes with strong SUV credentials, including best-in-class 10,000 lbs. towing capability, the Wagoneer builds on the original SUV by defining the next generation of an American icon.

So, what’s new for 2023? The Wagoneer receives a new engine lineup, with the Wagoneer Series II and III powered by the new 3.0-liter Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6 engine producing 420 horsepower and 468 lb.-ft. of torque. The Wagoneer also features a 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine, rated at 392 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6 engine sets a benchmark for power and efficiency in the large SUV segment, with up to 15% more efficiency than larger V-8 engines. 

The Carbide Package, which debuted in 2022, is available exclusively on Wagoneer Series II for 2023 and includes black exterior accents and interior accents, a panoramic tri-pane sunroof, adjustable roof rail crossbars, cargo cover, reversible cargo mat, and 20-inch Gloss Black painted wheels. Available as an option with the Carbide Package are 22-inch polished wheels with black inserts.

Legendary capability is a hallmark of the Wagoneer, with three 4×4 systems: Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with active low range and a rear electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). With a crawl ratio of 48:1, a Selec-Terrain traction management system, and up to 24 inches of water fording, the Wagoneer is ready to take on any challenge. The Quadra-Lift air suspension delivers a smooth ride and up to 10 inches of ground clearance.

The exterior styling of the Wagoneer boasts a confident and elegant design with a timeless silhouette and embodies American authenticity with artisan levels of craftsmanship. The interiors are designed to support active customers’ lifestyles, with best-in-class overall passenger volume and best-in-class second- and third-row legroom with the most cargo volume behind the third row. A standard third row with available seating for up to eight passengers is available on all trims.

The highly advanced, user-friendly technology of the Wagoneer includes up to 50 inches of total screen display available, with nearly 30 inches of screens along the front instrument panel. The Uconnect 5 system is standard, featuring Wi-Fi capability, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, simultaneous connectivity for two Bluetooth-enabled phones, and Amazon Fire TV for Auto with Alexa, including access to hundreds of thousands of movies, TV shows, and apps.

The Wagoneer lineup consists of three models to choose from, including the standard Wagoneer, the Wagoneer Series II, and the Wagoneer Series III.

Customers can select from a range of stylish exterior colors, including Baltic Gray, Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal, River Rock, Silver Zynith, and Velvet Red. Inside, the Wagoneer offers a choice between two interior color options, Global Black and Sea Salt/Black.

The base model of the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Series I 4×2 starts at $60,995 in the United States, with the destination cost of $2,000 included in the price. If you’re interested in a Wagoneer Series II equipped with the Hurricane I-6 engine and the Advanced All-Terrain Group (like the one above), the starting price is $72,375, which also includes the destination charge.
