Say What? 1,400+ Horsepower In A Dodge Charger Pursuit AWD!

Watch Out Kansas, There Is A New Sheriff In Town...

In today’s world, there are more entertaining things for a car guy to watch on YouTube than there are on cable television. One of our favorite YouTubers to watch is the crazy antics of Westen Champlin and his friends. If you aren’t familiar with him, you might remember we covered him when he bought a wrecked Cummins-powered 2019 Ram 2500 Crew Cab Big Horn 4×4 only weeks after they arrived in dealers. We watched him fix the mangled truck and trying to get the necessary parts that were scarce at the time.

As many of you know, the Dodge Charger Pursuit is America’s best-selling police sedan. For the past several years, the Charger Pursuit could be optioned with the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with all-wheel-drive (AWD). So what happens when a 370 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque HEMI engine with a ton of idle hours and highway pursuit miles doesn’t suit your taste? You throw in a force-inducted 1,400+ horsepower HEMI of course!

Westen Champlin and his Modern Muscle Xtreme Forged HEMI V8. (Westen Champlin).

The 6.4-liter based HEMI forged V8 was built by Modern Muscle Xtreme. Holley Performance also sent over a bunch of goodies for even more power.

It will be interesting to see just how well, the Charger’s AWD will hold up under all that horsepower. We know our friends over at SpeedKore already put the Charger’s AWD system to the test, with their carbon-fiber bodied 2019 Dodge Charger Pursuit, which was morphed into a twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 breathing 1,525 horsepower monster running on E-85 with an added Widebody kit.

All we know is, Westen and his pals are giving us hope that such a monster can be built with some Harbor Freight tools in the corner of someone’s home garage. You can make sure to see all of his videos on his YouTube channel, as well as his other social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
