All-Electric Dodge Charger Daytona Leaked Before Reveal
Dodge Will Show Off New Sedan Variant Today, As Well...
After a year and a half wait, Dodge will finally reveal the all-new, all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona later this morning. While Dodge has kept everything close to the chest, a leak of what appears to be from the reveal video that we will see at 11:00 a.m. EDT / 8:00 a.m. PDT has made its way onto social media, giving us a preview of what to expect from today’s reveal.
For the past several months, Dodge has been teasing us with a new two-door replacement for the outgoing Challenger. However, Dodge, it appears, will also give us our first look at the next-generation four-sedan model as well. The sedan will follow the launch of the new coupe later this year.
We also see that the cars will not wear their kW output badges on their fenders, as Dodge teased us back in 2022 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. Instead, the new electric muscle cars will wear trim badges on the front fenders, as these leaked images show.
In one shot, we get a look at the new ‘frunk’ or front trunk of the Dodge Charger Daytona. While not overly spacious, it does allow for customers to store things behind the new R-Wing front end. Looks good enough for us to put our detail chemicals for the weekend car show in.
Inside, the Charger looks a lot like the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept, with the same overall layout. A production-ready leather seat design looks very comfortable, while we see Dodge did go for a very similar interior trim panel design that was shown on the concept car. Conventional door controls replace the concept’s touchpad controls, while a new wide layout Uconnect 5 touchscreen takes over the middle of the instrument panel (I/P).
It does look like we are only getting a look at the 400-volt-based version. A more powerful 800-volt ‘Banshee’ is in the works; however, we have been told that it won’t be reaching dealers until 2025.
So it does look like we have a lot to look forward to later this morning. Be sure to come back throughout the day for the latest Dodge Charger Daytona information.
