All-Electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV Is Heading To Europe

Ram 1500 REV Offers Up To 563 KM (350 Miles) Of Range...

Ram is gearing up to introduce its first all-electric pickup truck, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV, to the European market in Q3 2025. As part of Stellantis’ electrification push, the REV is designed to meet the needs of both traditional truck users and those looking for a zero-emissions alternative.

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV is based on the cutting-edge STLA Frame architecture, an evolution of the Ram 1500 (DT) platform designed specifically for full-size body-on-frame electric vehicles (EVs). This high-strength steel platform delivers the durability Ram trucks are known for while offering the flexibility needed for electrification. The STLA Frame architecture is engineered to provide superior handling and stability while maintaining the ruggedness expected from a Ram truck.

The Ram 1500 REV offers an impressive driving range. Equipped with a 168-kWh battery pack, the REV targets a driving range of up to 563 kilometers (350 miles) on a single charge, ensuring drivers can take long trips or tackle demanding tasks without constant recharging.

In addition to its impressive range, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV features advanced 800-volt DC fast charging technology. With this system, the truck can gain up to 177 kilometers (110 miles) of range in just 10 minutes. This rapid charging capability makes the REV more practical for daily use, significantly reducing downtime for recharging, whether at home or on the road.

Despite being a fully electric vehicle, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV doesn’t compromise on capability. The truck boasts a towing capacity of up to 6.3 tonnes (14,000 pounds), ensuring it can easily haul trailers, boats, or heavy equipment. Additionally, it offers a payload capacity of up to 1.2 tonnes (2,700 pounds), making it suitable for a variety of jobs, from construction work to weekend getaways.

Under the hood—or beneath the floor—the Ram 1500 REV is powered by dual electric motors, one on each axle, delivering a robust all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. These motors produce a combined 654 horsepower (487 kW) and an estimated 840 lb-ft (1,139 Nm) of torque. This power allows the Ram 1500 REV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, making it one of the quickest full-size electric trucks on the market.

One of the REV’s unique features is its segment-leading 425-liter frunk (front trunk). This large storage area provides an additional 15 cubic feet of space, perfect for stowing tools, gear, or groceries. The frunk adds an extra layer of convenience, particularly for drivers who need secure storage but want to keep the truck’s bed free for larger items.

The Ram 1500 REV includes many technology and safety features to enhance the driving experience and security. The truck has an advanced 12-inch Uconnect® 5 infotainment system with over-the-air updates, ensuring drivers can always access the latest features and system enhancements. In addition, the Ram 1500 REV will feature a full-color head-up display (HUD), which projects critical driving information directly onto the windshield, allowing drivers to keep their eyes on the road.

Safety is also a top priority, with the truck offering advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane-keeping assist (LKA), and automatic emergency braking (AEB). These features are designed to make driving safer and more convenient, especially in congested urban environments or on long road trips.

Ram’s decision to introduce the 1500 REV to Europe underscores the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence in the global EV market. By offering a full-size electric truck, Ram is tapping into a growing demand for zero-emissions vehicles in Europe, particularly in the commercial and adventure segments. The Ram 1500 REV aims to offer the same level of capability and performance that European drivers have come to expect from conventional trucks, with the added benefit of electric power.

While the 2025 Ram 1500 REV pricing has yet to be announced, production is scheduled to begin in Q4 2024 at the Stellantis Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The first units are expected to reach U.S. dealerships in Q1 2025, followed by the European launch in Q3 2025.
