Alfa Romeo Will Showcase Their New Estrema Lineup At The Goodwill Festival Of Speed!
New Sporty Package Will Be Showcased Alongside The All-New Tonale...
This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will see the new Alfa Romeo Tonale make its dynamic United Kingdom (U.K.) debut as it tackles the famous Hillclimb. On Saturday, Tonale will complete the 1.16-mile Hillclimb with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver, Zhou Guanyu, at the wheel. Alfa Romeo will also showcase the new Giulia and Stelvio Estrema models, which are targeted at driving purists.
The Tonale launches Alfa Romeo into a new electrified era while maintaining its DNA of Italian sportiness and beauty. Designed to blend state of art-electrification and technology with a trademark style, the Tonale is the first mid-sized SUV from the Italian brand.
Taking the wheel of the Tonale on Saturday will be Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver Zhou Guanyu. Following his great start to his first season in F1, including a point on his debut race and his highest points finish to date in Canada last weekend, Zhou will be meeting Formula 1 fans and signing autographs on the Alfa Romeo stand at 1:50 p.m. before taking the Tonale for its final run of the day.
The Estrema special series will also make its U.K. debuts at the festival with visitors able to get a first look at the cars on the Alfa Romeo stand. Designed for driving purists, with dynamic dampers and a rear limited-slip differential as standard, the Estrema special edition is available on both the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV.
Fans will be able to get up close to the all-new Tonale and Giulia and Stelvio Estrema models on the Alfa Romeo stand throughout the weekend. They can also witness the U.K. dynamic debut of the Tonale as it cements its sporting credentials taking to the hill from the ‘First Glance’ paddock where it will be based over the weekend.
The Estrema special editions are based on the Veloce trim of both the Guilia and Stelvio to offer the perfect combination of technical refinement, driving pleasure, and sporting luxury. Fitted with the Alfa Synaptic Dynamic Control (SDC) adaptive suspension and with a limited-slip differential (LSD), the Estrema trim offers uncompromising grip and traction in variable conditions. Both the Giulia and Stelvio Estrema are equipped with the turbocharged 2.0-liter GME-T4 inline-four-cylinder gasoline option delivering 280 horsepower. Alternatively, the Stelvio is available with a 2.2-liter Multijet turbodiesel engine producing 210 horsepower. Both engines are paired with a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.
There are visual cues across the exterior and throughout the interior that define the sporty look of Estrema. These include carbon-fiber mirror caps and front “V” grille, dark tone c badging, and dark-painted 19-inch “5-hole” aluminum wheels on the Giulia and 21-inch versions on the Stelvio. The same sporty look and feel can be found on the interior where carbon-fiber accents highlight the cabin, along with Alcantara® and leather seats with red stitching. A 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system is also standard.
