Abarth Has Sold Half Of Its Planned Production Of The Pulse For The Year!
Only 700 Units Will Be Built For The Brazilian Market...
It’s no secret that the FIAT brand continues to be on a hot streak in the Brazilian market. This also includes its performance arm: Abarth.
This week, Abarth not only unveiled the fully-electric Abarth 500e in Europe, but launched the Brazilian-built Pulse Abarth also. The Pulse Abarth is exclusive to the Brazilian market and is the brand’s first utility vehicle (UV).
In just three days after launch, the performance brand accumulated more than 350 units sold (or about half of its total production planned for 2022).
The Abarth Pulse uses the same engine as the Jeep Renegade, a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four-cylinder engine delivering 185 horsepower and 199 lb.-ft. (270 N⋅m) on ethanol. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. With a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) of 7.6 seconds, the Abarth Pulse can reach a top speed 215 km/h (133.5 mph) making it the fastest company B-UV in Brazil.
The Pulse features a dual sports exhaust, 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen, paddle shifters, automatic emergency braking (AEB), electronic handbrake with auto hold, wireless charger, automatic headlights, and shift alert notifications.
The Abarth Pulse is available with four exterior colors, Black Vulcan, White Banchisa, MonteCarlo Red, and Strato Gray, all of which come with a Black Vulcan roof.
The Abarth Pulse comes with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of R$ 149,900 (or about $27,980 USD).
