For 13 years straight, the Jeeps on the Run Toys for Tots event has shown what true community horsepower looks like. What started as a simple local toy drive founded by lifelong Jeep fan and community advocate Mike Missak (@JeepsOnTheRun) has grown into one of the most powerful charitable traditions in Northern Illinois. Today, it brings in millions of dollars’ worth of toys for families across Lake and McHenry Counties, turning a passion for off-roading into real holiday magic.
This year’s event marks the 13th anniversary, and once again, the team has broken things into three big cornerstones—each one playing its part in fueling the mission to make sure no child is forgotten on Christmas morning.
A Jeep® Gladiator For A Cause –

One of the biggest draws this year is the return of the charity raffle—this time offering up a brand-new 2025 Jeep® Gladiator. The truck is being donated 100% by Ray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Fox Lake, making it a true no-strings-attached fundraiser. Only 3,000 raffle tickets will be sold, giving participants an incredible chance to win a Gladiator while supporting a great cause. You don’t have to be present to win, but winners are responsible for picking up the truck and covering taxes. Every single dollar from ticket sales goes directly to Toys for Tots to help purchase even more gifts for local kids.
500 Jeeps Deep: The Annual Holiday Convoy –

Nothing defines this event more than the Jeep Run itself—one of the largest holiday convoys in the Midwest. Capped at 500 Jeeps, the lineup fills the lot at Ray CDJR before rolling out in full holiday spirit. Owners decorate their rigs, families pile in, kids sip hot chocolate, and volunteers hand out coffee and donuts before departure. The convoy then heads down to the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, where the parking lot transforms into a giant display of lights, ornaments, and Jeep pride.
The After Party That Brings Everyone Together –

Once the Jeep Run arrives at the resort, the real celebration kicks off. The after-party is open to the public—no Jeep required. Live music from Semple keeps the energy high, U.S. Marines work nonstop loading trucks full of toys, and families enjoy raffles, vendors, photo ops, and even a magician for the kids. For many, it’s become one of the most anticipated holiday charity events in the region.
