2026 Dodge Durango Build & Price Configurator Finally Goes Live

Dodge Updates Its Website With The New HEMI-Powered Lineup

For those of us who’ve followed Dodge for years, it’s no secret that the brand tends to move at its own pace when it comes to updating its website. Whether it’s adding new vehicle pages, specifications, or the ever-popular Build & Price configurator, Dodge has historically been slow to roll things out online. But this week, fans of the three-row muscle SUV finally got some good news — the 2026 Dodge Durango Build & Price configurator is now live on Dodge.com.

That means you can now hop online and start building your ideal version of the 2026 Durango — whether that’s the family-friendly GT with a HEMI upgrade or the all-out 710-horsepower SRT HELLCAT.

A Late But Welcome Update –

Dodge has traditionally lagged behind competitors when updating its online tools, often leaving customers waiting months after new models start showing up on dealer lots. The Durango is a perfect example. While the 2026 model year vehicles have already been arriving at dealerships for several months, the configurator didn’t go live until now.

Fans immediately noticed something interesting — despite Dodge’s announcement that the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 would become standard across the lineup, the Pentastar V6 still appears as an option on the site.

After reaching out to Dodge for clarification, the company explained that while retail orders for the V6 models stopped on August 13, some production was already scheduled beyond that date. In other words, Dodge isn’t building new V6 Durangos for retail sale, but existing dealer inventory and fleet units are still available. That’s why the configurator shows the option — it helps buyers find those remaining vehicles already in stock.

GT HEMI AWD: More Power, Same Practicality –

The biggest story for 2026 is the Durango GT’s move to standard HEMI power. Starting at $42,495 (plus $1,995 destination), the GT now packs the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque — a jump of 65 horsepower and 50 lb.-ft. over the outgoing V6.

That added muscle translates to real-world performance gains:

  • 0–60 mph improves by more than a second, from 7.4 to 6.2 seconds

  • Towing capacity jumps by 40% when equipped with the R/T Tow N Go setup

  • Fuel Saver Technology with cylinder deactivation helps balance power and efficiency

It’s not just faster — it’s also the most affordable AWD V8 vehicle in the U.S., giving families and enthusiasts alike a reason to take a closer look at the Durango GT HEMI AWD.

SRT HELLCAT: The King Returns –

Of course, no Durango story is complete without talking about the SRT HELLCAT. Returning for 2026, it remains the most powerful gas-powered SUV in the world, cranking out 710 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8.

With a 0–60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds, a quarter-mile run in 11.5 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph, it’s a family hauler that can embarrass sports cars. Even better, pricing now starts at $79,995, making this high-octane SUV more attainable than ever.

For those wanting even more personalization, Dodge has launched the Durango SRT HELLCAT Jailbreak, unlocking over six million customization combinations — including wheels, paint, badges, stripe options, brake caliper colors, and seat belt choices. The Jailbreak model starts at $80,990 (plus $1,995 destination) for the additional customization options.

Thoughts –

With the 2026 Durango Build & Price configurator now live, Dodge fans finally have a chance to build and price their dream SUV online. Whether you’re shopping for a family-ready GT HEMI AWD or a tire-shredding SRT HELLCAT Jailbreak, the Durango lineup now offers more power, more customization, and more value than ever before.

It might have taken a little longer than expected, but for Durango fans, it’s definitely worth the wait.

There is no reason the 3.6 couldn't continue as the standard engine. Not everyone needs or wants a V8. The GT Plus is affordable well equipped alternative to the GC Limited that costs 1000's more to get the same equipment.
