Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) has announced a recall of approximately 163,735 units of its 2022 to 2025 Jeep® Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (WS) models. The recall involves the daylight opening (DLO) trim on the driver and passenger doors, which may not have been installed properly. In some cases, this can allow the trim to detach while the vehicle is in motion. If this occurs, it could create a road hazard for other motorists, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall population includes both Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles produced during specific timeframes. For the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, approximately 40,737 vehicles built between February 24, 2021, and February 1, 2025, are affected. These vehicles may have been assembled with front door DLO trim that can detach. The suspect period was identified through production and engineering change records, beginning with the start of 2022 model year production and ending when the trim installation process was corrected. Vehicles manufactured after February 1, 2025, are not included in the recall.
For the Jeep Wagoneer, approximately 122,998 vehicles built between March 8, 2021, and February 1, 2025, are included. Similar to the Grand Wagoneer, these vehicles may have been built with front door DLO trim that was not secured properly. Production and engineering records were again used to establish the affected period, and vehicles built after February 1, 2025, are not subject to the recall.
Recall Chronology –

On July 1, 2025, the FCA US LLC (FCA US) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) organization opened an investigation into certain 2022–2025 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles regarding a potential issue with the front door DLO trim.
Between July and August 2025, FCA US TSRC met with FCA US engineering and manufacturing teams to review the issue, analyze the failure mode, study customer records, and determine the suspect population.
As of August 29, 2025, FCA US was aware of zero customer assistance records, 405 warranty claims, three field reports, and 112 other service records potentially related to this issue across all markets. These records were received between March 2, 2022, and August 1, 2025. Importantly, as of August 29, 2025, FCA US was not aware of any accidents or injuries potentially linked to this condition.
On September 4, 2025, FCA US, through its Vehicle Regulations Committee, determined that a safety defect exists in certain Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles.
