SPOTTED: Jeep® Compass BEV First Edition on Italian Streets
Limited-Run Summit Reserve First Edition Gears Up For Launch

Jeep® is wasting no time showing off the future of its popular compact SUV. The all-new Jeep® Compass (J4U) BEV First Edition Summit Reserve has been caught out on Italian streets, giving us a first look at what’s coming for customers who want electrified capability in a familiar Jeep package. Photos from our friend Walter Vayr (@GabetzSPYUnit) highlight the sleek Pacific-colored crossover in action, and it’s clear Jeep has packed plenty of style, tech, and performance into this limited-run launch model.
A New Chapter for the Compass –

The Compass has long been Jeep’s bread-and-butter in Europe, but the J4U generation marks a big step forward. The First Edition BEV is more than just a trim level—it’s the brand’s opening shot in bringing electric power to one of its most popular models. Offering up to 213 horsepower and an estimated range of 500 kilometers (about 311 miles), this front-wheel-drive BEV brings fully electric propulsion to the Compass lineup for the first time.
For those not quite ready to go all-in on electric, Jeep is also offering a 48-volt e-Hybrid version with 145 horsepower. Both setups are wrapped in Summit Reserve packaging, meaning customers get premium touches inside and out, plus a heavy dose of technology.
Limited-Run Exclusivity –

The “First Edition” is Jeep’s way of rewarding early adopters. These launch-only models will be built in small numbers and come loaded with features that set the tone for the new Compass family. Think of it as Jeep’s opening handshake—an invitation to see just how far the brand has pushed its compact SUV forward.
Jeep has fitted the Compass with up to 20-inch wheels, squared-off styling, and LED matrix headlights. While it looks clean and modern on the streets of Milan or Rome, it hasn’t lost its Jeep DNA. The Selec-Terrain® system and 360-degree underbody protection are still standard, proving that capability wasn’t left behind in the move toward electrification.
Pricing and Availability –

In Italy, the Compass First Edition e-Hybrid kicks off at €41,900 (around $45,000 USD), with an introductory promo price of €39,900 (about $42,900 USD). The fully electric Compass BEV First Edition comes in higher at €48,900 (about $52,600 USD). These figures exclude IPT and PFU contributions.
Why It Matters –

For Jeep, this isn’t just another release. The First Edition signals the brand’s broader shift toward electrification in Europe, where demand for hybrids and EVs continues to rise. With the Compass serving as one of Jeep’s best-selling models overseas, all eyes will be on the new J4U Compass.
Judging by how sharp this Pacific-colored Summit Reserve looks rolling through Italian streets, it won’t have any trouble turning heads.
North American Outlook –

We’re still waiting for Stellantis to release an official timeline for when the J4U will launch in North America. According to sources close to MoparInsiders, the U.S. launch is expected to begin with a hybrid powertrain, followed later by a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) option.
