37th Annual MOPARs at the Red Barns Show Is Tomorrow
West Michigan’s Largest All-Chrysler Car Show Returns to the Gilmore Car Museum...
Car enthusiasts are in for a treat as the 37th Annual MOPARs at the Red Barns Show and Swap Meet takes place tomorrow at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. Known as West Michigan’s largest all-Chrysler products car show, the event will showcase over 350 muscle cars and antiques, celebrating the rich history of Chrysler.
Event Details –
The show field will feature a wide range of vehicles manufactured by or for Chrysler, including well-known brands like Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, Ram, and Jeep®. However, vehicles produced by other automakers before being acquired by Chrysler, such as AMC, or those from companies with controlling interests in Chrysler, like Daimler/Benz and Fiat, will not be included unless they are specifically badged as Chrysler products.
Venue and History –
The Gilmore Car Museum, recognized as North America’s largest auto museum, is an ideal venue for this grand event. Founded in the early 1960s by Donald S. Gilmore, the museum began as a private collection of vintage automobiles. Some of Gilmore’s initial acquisitions included a 1927 Ford Model T, a 1913 Rolls Royce, and a 1920 Pierce Arrow. With the support of his wife, Genevieve, the Gilmores transformed their collection into a museum to share these unique vehicles with future generations.
The museum’s 90-acre historic campus is home to a variety of vintage structures, such as a restored 1941 Silk City Diner, a recreated 1930s Shell gas station, and an 1890s train depot. These settings enhance the overall experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in automotive history.
Swap Meet and Vendors –
The swap meet area will host over 100 vendors offering a variety of items, including new and used car parts, die-cast collectibles, tools, crafts, and more. There will also be a large car corral for attendees to explore.
