26k-Mile 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Hits BaT

Flame Red, Regular Cab, Looks For A New Home

If you grew up in the early 2000s, you probably remember when Dodge shocked the truck world with the Ram SRT-10. It wasn’t just another performance pickup—it was a full-size truck stuffed with the same 8.3-liter V10 that powered the Dodge Viper. This 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Regular Cab, now live on BringATrailer, brings that outrageous formula back into the spotlight with just 26,000 miles on the odometer.

Muscle Truck Styling –

This SRT-10 wears Flame Red paint accented by bold white stripes, giving it a look that demands attention. Dodge added unique bodywork to separate it from a standard Ram, including a deep front air dam with integrated fog lights, a domed hood with an air scoop, and lower body cladding. Out back, a signature SRT-specific rear spoiler not only enhances styling but also improves stability at higher speeds. Heated side mirrors, tinted glass, and polished 22-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires complete the package.

Purpose-Built Performance –

Unlike most sport trucks of the era, which rely on automatic transmissions, Dodge equipped the Ram SRT-10 with a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a stout Dana 60 limited-slip rear axle. Suspension upgrades included a lower ride height, stiffer springs, and an extra rear-axle damper to reduce wheel hop. Four-wheel disc brakes, featuring red-painted calipers, handle stopping duties. The combination gave this truck a genuine performance feel while still allowing it to perform daily duties.

A Cabin With an Edge –

Inside, the SRT-10 combines muscle and comfort. The bucket seats are trimmed in Dark Slate Gray leather with suede inserts and feature embroidered SRT-10 logos. A power-adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, and Hurst short-throw shifter highlight the performance side. At the same time, a navigation system, cruise control, air conditioning, and an Infinity sound system with eight speakers, subwoofer, and six-disc CD changer make it comfortable for long drives. Silver trim accents across the dash and doors, along with metal pedal covers, add a sporty touch.

The driver faces a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a gauge cluster with a 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, and full set of auxiliary gauges. An additional oil temperature gauge is mounted on the A-pillar—a nod to its racing-inspired setup.

The Heart of the Beast –

Under the hood is what makes this truck legendary: the 8.3-liter (505 cubic-inch) VIPER V10. Factory rated at 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque, it was the most powerful pickup on the road in 2004. With the 6-speed manual transmission, the truck was capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, making it quicker than many sports cars of the time.

History and Condition –

This particular example shows 26,000 miles, with approximately 500 miles added by the seller after it was acquired on Bring a Trailer in February 2025. The Carfax report notes past manufacturer recalls for the airbag system, addressed in 2015 and 2016. It carries a South Carolina title branded “Exempt” with a duplicate notation. The listing includes the original manufacturer’s literature.
