2026 Jeep® Wrangler Moab 392 Launches “Twelve 4 Twelve” Celebration

Jeep Brings Back The 6.4-liter HEMI® With Power, Heritage, and Attitude

Jeep® fans can breathe a sigh of relief—the HEMI® V8 isn’t going anywhere just yet. The American off-road icon has officially unveiled the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Moab 392, a limited-edition model that not only brings back the mighty 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI V8 but also marks the first vehicle in Jeep’s brand-new “Twelve 4 Twelve” campaign.

This new celebration is part of Jeep’s 85th anniversary, and it promises something special: one new limited-edition Wrangler model will be revealed on the 12th of each month for the next 12 months. Leading the charge—both figuratively and literally—is the new Moab 392.

A New Beginning For The HEMI® Wrangler –

After the 2024 and 2025 Rubicon 392 Final Editions, most assumed Jeep’s V8 era had ended. But the automaker surprised everyone by reigniting the HEMI® flame under a new badge that honors Jeep heritage and off-road roots. The Moab 392 resurrects a name last seen in 2019 and redefines it for a new generation—mixing premium comfort, incredible power, and uncompromising capability.

Under the hood, the Moab 392 comes to life thanks to the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, producing a thundering 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Mated to the 8-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission and Selec-Trac® full-time 4WD system, it’s capable of hitting 0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds and conquering the quarter-mile in around 13 seconds. Those are sports-car numbers, from a vehicle built to climb mountains.

Honoring The Trail Legacy –

The Moab name pays homage to one of the most famous off-roading destinations in the world—Moab, Utah, home of the Easter Jeep Safari, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The model also symbolizes Jeep’s continued commitment to supporting responsible off-roading and the preservation of the natural landscapes that have defined its brand since 1941.

“The first release in our Twelve 4 Twelve series is the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 edition, a purpose-built powerhouse that delivers exceptional value and performance,” said Jeep® CEO Bob Broderdorf. “Our community made their voices heard, and we listened. The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 will remain a defining force within the Jeep lineup.”

Rugged Looks, Premium Presence –

From the outside, the 2026 Wrangler Unlimited Moab 392 immediately distinguishes itself from the outgoing Rubicon 392. A functional cold-air intake hood, Moab hood decal, and Moab 392 swing-gate plaque signal its unique identity. A redesigned grille improves airflow and cooling, while body-color fender flares, mold-in-color rock protection sill rails, and a body-color three-piece hardtop give it a more cohesive, upscale appearance.

It rides on 17-inch beadlock-capable, machined-aluminum wheels finished with black pockets and wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich® all-terrain tires, combining rugged capability with a polished finish. Standard steel bumpers, dual-mode exhaust, and black tow hooks add both function and visual toughness.

Inside The Cabin –

Inside, the Moab 392 continues Jeep’s evolution toward more premium interiors without losing its adventurous edge. Black Nappa leather-trimmed seats with heat functionality, a premium Alpine® sound system, and the latest Uconnect® 5 NAV system with a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen headline the tech upgrades.

Additional interior refinements include a premium-wrapped, heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and an HD electrical switch bank for accessory control. Comfort, convenience, and connectivity blend seamlessly with ruggedness—creating a space that feels equally at home in a luxury SUV or climbing through canyon trails.

Safety features come standard, too: Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Auto High-Beam Headlamp Control, ParkSense® Rear Park Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and an Integrated Off-Road Camera make the Moab 392 as confident in traffic as it is on the trail.

Trail-Tested Performance –

Like any true Jeep, the Moab 392 isn’t just a showpiece—it’s built to perform where the pavement ends. The Trail Rated badge is earned through capability metrics like 11.6 inches of ground clearance, 34.5 inches of water fording, and a 4.56:1 rear axle ratio.

It’s equipped with a Selec-Trac® two-speed transfer case, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles with Tru-Lok® electronic locking differentials, and an electronic front sway-bar disconnect. These features make the Moab 392 just as ready for the Rubicon Trail as it is for your daily commute.

Towing capacity remains at 3,500 pounds, with a maximum payload of 1,180 pounds. Optional equipment includes the Sky One-Touch® Power Top, WARN® 8,000-lb winch, and Mopar Sunrider® Flip Top for Hardtop—making the Moab 392 customizable for every kind of adventure.

The Start Of “Twelve 4 Twelve” –

Jeep’s “Twelve 4 Twelve” campaign celebrates 85 uninterrupted years of Jeep history—decades defined by innovation, durability, and off-road freedom. Each month’s release will showcase a different expression of Jeep’s personality, keeping fans and collectors on their toes all year long.

“Starting today, Jeep will unveil a new limited-edition Wrangler on the 12th of each month for the next 12 months,” Broderdorf explained. “Each product release will embody the boldness, authenticity, and unapologetic spirit that defines our brand.”

Supporting this yearlong rollout is a new marketing effort dubbed “Operation Airdrop”, a series of high-energy digital and social media videos—beginning with the debut of the Moab 392.
