2015 Dodge Charger Deep Stage 3: A Muscle Car by Mopar

Performance and Style Upgrades Transform the Iconic Four-Door Muscle Car...

The 2015 Dodge Charger Deep Stage 3 represented a significant step forward in performance and style for the Charger R/T, elevating it from a standard muscle car to a high-performance machine. This special edition was created with the help of Mopar’s extensive catalog of performance parts and custom touches, resulting in a unique version of Dodge’s only four-door muscle car.

Overall Design –

The Charger Deep Stage 3 featured a striking appearance with its Silver Bullet exterior color, accentuated by a full-length Matte Black paint job covering the vehicle’s top. Center stripes in body color, bordered by Mopar Blue tracer accents, provided a distinctive look. Inspired by the late 1960s second-generation Charger, the vehicle included a concept Mopar body kit. This kit comprised a front chin splitter, side sills, rear spoiler, and a unique rear valance, all contributing to an aggressive stance and improved aerodynamics.

The vehicle rolled on concept Mopar Dark Bronze 22-inch Classic III wheels, which were complemented by color-matched Mopar center caps. Concept Mopar decals on the front fenders, Scat Pack 3 badges, and a Mopar Design decklid badge further enhanced the car’s appearance.

Inside, the Charger Deep Stage 3 continued the theme of performance and luxury. Concept Katzkin leather seats were adorned with special R/T embroidery featuring a blue surround, along with black R/T logos to match the exterior. The seats included perforated Katzkin fog suede inserts and Mopar blue stitching on the armrests, steering wheel, and seat inserts. Additional touches from the Mopar catalog included door sill guards with the Charger logo, premium carpet floor mats, and a cargo mat with metal Dodge badging.

Performance Upgrades –

At the heart of the Charger Deep Stage 3 was the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine, which received a significant performance boost through a trio of Mopar Scat Pack Performance kits. The Scat Pack 1 and Scat Pack 2 upgrades featured a Mopar cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust, low-restriction oil filter, a new Mopar Performance camshaft, valve springs, tie bars, pushrods, and gaskets. Together, these upgrades contributed to an increase of up to 75 horsepower and 44 lb.-ft. of torque. The Scat Pack 3 kit was the final piece, rounding out the performance enhancements.

To complement the added power, a Mopar coilover lowering kit was used to improve handling and give the Charger a more aggressive look by lowering its stance. Front and rear strut tower braces ensured better road contact for the tires, while the Mopar Big Brake Kit provided the stopping power needed to manage the increased horsepower.

The 2015 Dodge Charger Deep Stage 3 exemplified how Mopar’s performance parts and customizations could transform a standard muscle car into a truly unique and powerful machine, offering both aesthetic enhancements and substantial performance upgrades.

When Direct Connection came back into the game, I often wondered why they didn't revisit this with the new tuner and some of the other upgrades Mopar had by that point. The 5.7L Hemi V8 had alot of potential but they focused so much on the Hellcat, which was sad because more people own 5.7L Hemi cars than they do hellcat cars. Even with all of the hype about the upcoming Six Pack cars, I hope that Direct Connection will revisit this for those Mopar fans that want to keep their current gen Hemi cars.
I am seriously hoping that Direct Connection has a big involvement in upgrades for both the Standard Output and High Output six pack cars. Turbo cars respond very well to tunes and mods so It wouldn't take much to figure that a Stage 1 kit with just a tune could add maybe another 25 and a stage 2 kit with a cold air intake, upgraded intercoolers, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust system, blow off valves and tune may give a 50-60hp gain. That would put the Standard output cars around 445hp (Stage 1) and around 470-480hp(Stage-2) and the High Output cars to 575hp Stage 1 and up to 600-610hp (Stage-2). A Stage-3 packages with upgraded Garrett turbos could even see an increase of 80hp with all of those supporting modifications, putting a Standard Output car to 500hp and a High Output car to 630hp. That's still pretty impressive for a "Scat pack" level car. Add in some aero upgrades, hood options, wheel options, etc. and this car will be amazing
